The fasting for Ashura (10th of Muharram) originated from a Quraish Pagan practice. Ramadan fasting came later from Sabian tradition. Sabians are mentioned in several verses of the Quran [al-Baqarah 2:62], [al-Hajj 22:17] , [al-Maa’idah 5:69] along with Christians and Jewish. Sabians, a non-Muslim Iraqi tribe, believed in monotheism, observed fasting 30 days a year, and prayed 5 times a day.
Whoop de doo about hubal, a look at the history shows islam follows from the pagan tradition of moon god worship. what about the pagan deities? What definitions on the cross? It's pagan. So, are you going to answer the questions?
How is it a hint? I know you're desperate to join this conversation but I have a guy avoiding, deflecting, basically talking riddles and don't need another So clarify and be succinct I don't need links either If you don't agree say so now and kindly **** off
It's hilarious watching the pair of you getting pissed off with your identical online debate styles. I've pointed it out to both of you in the past and now you get to experience just how annoying it is. You asked a question, I answered it and now you're throwing a wobbly, as usual. I think I'll leave you two to it. It's far more amusing watching you both avoiding an honest debate.
I'm not in the least pissed off. I find it amusing. It's nearly as amusing as you popping in with your own brand of nonsense and bullshit, rather than actually engaging.
Rather depends which definition you take Any road up, you answering any questions, or just carrying on ducking them?
He should do, as you're both the same brand of dishonest, evasive, smug twat, just wearing a different hat. Neither of you can debate anything honestly, so you evade, insult, play the victim and claim victory. It's hilarious watching you clash heads. Please continue.
He says, dishonestly and smugly, while evading the actual topic hoping to 'win'.. You can keep your twat hat, you've more than earned it.
Its not ducking its clarifying The sabians were "people of the book" and monotheistic and their practices were based on abrahamic religion. So not pagans according to your own earlier definitions Fasting itself existed before Islam, no argument, Islam provided specifics and made the month sacred. But the practice of fasting has always been linked to abrahamic religions
