Nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, fully deserved He's got no chance against the likes of Lukaku, Kane, and Alli but still good for him getting on the shortlist. We have to keep this lad (even if we have to sell and loan back) next year if we want to have a chance of coming back up. He'd be the best keeper in the league by an absolute mile.
I just hope he doesn't get conned into thinking that refusing to go will damage the Club. Short's damaged the club. He shouldn't be forced to leave to clear up Short's mistakes. It's his dream vs Short's ****ed up business experiment. I support Pickford's dream personally. Go on lad, Turn down a move.
Can see him heading off for the top 6 whilst we sign a full new team with the money. I hear Tim Cahill and Andy Johnson may be available
He needs the move as much as we need the money, the skys the limit for him if he desires, its when not if ,Jordan henderson all over again ,great move for him and a healthy fee to us ,its all gravy.
And just look how we've improved since Henderson left ......NOT I've no desire to hold Jordan back but with our history of spending big fees there is no guarantee we'll get it right this time.
Regardless ,you cannot have both in a club like ours, when the big boys come knocking with big money its normal to grab the cash ,quite a few players who have left for little ammounts i feel could have served more use to stave off the drop. Who knows
He and the club have time on their side so he stays for me for his contracted time then judge him and us then.
Other side us look how much Henderson has improved and developed since leaving - we set the groundwork to allow his final development though - a massive shame it was not here. Pickford needs to stay for his development - at least till Christmas if we enter the feeder leagues to be our safe pair of hands
