Ofc I came on to have a dig. It's called banter. You're sunderland for christs' sake. It's a good deal for SAFC, not quite a Carroll'esque or Sissoko deal but that's a **** ton of money for a gk when you can just buy an older roughly same quality for 5-6 mio from spain or italy. Or one of these germans that liverpool keep signing and spitting out.
You are aware that you can just say something normally, you're not actually obligated to sound like a dickhead? I'm just checking. I don't think I've ever seen you say anything that would fit under the description of banter.
I'd go... Kone - 10m - 14m Lens - 6m - 10m Khazri - 6m - 10m Borini - 4m - 7m I'd make it anywhere from 26 million, minimum, to 41 million. With Martin Bain in there, I'm a lot more hopeful than I've ever been for Sunderland getting top prices.
I think the Kone valuation is probably a touch high but would agree with the rest. Agreed on Bain as well btw, I like what he's doing, he's already started to get our house in order off the pitch. On the pitch, I'd like to judge him fully on September 1st once the transfer window shuts to see how his wheeling and deeling is.
N'Dong is now potentially our biggest asset. With the sale of Pickford and other money coming in from players that want to leave, we should do everything we can to keep him. He'll be a beast in the Championship.
I think a few on here are being unfair to Kone, he had a great start and became a firm favourite, the interest from Everton turned his head and he lost his way, no wonder, as he lost his team mates Kaboul, PVA, de Yedlin, Hoff and M'Vila who formed a solid unit, and his manager. Yes his form dipped and he became inconsistent, even so he was still our best defender last season imo, but realise that in itself, was not much of an achievement.
Said this from the moment we were confirmed down. We MUST hang on to this lad. It's a bigger priority for me than Pickford.
Good luck to the lad. Money too good to turn down. Now let's get Kone Khazri Lens Borini and Mannone sold and give the new manager a budget to build a team in his image
Goodluck Jordan. Its quite devastating seeing another one of our best players sat in another teams jersey.
Gutted personally. We've spent years improving what we produce and now we can't even finish developing our players cause the rest of the club has been ran into the ground. **** you Ellis. Can't wait til you're gone. Should have been our keeper for a Prem season. Short's turned us into a ****ing laughing stock.
118 league apearences to his name already, A lot of hard work has gone in from a hell of a lot of people. I bet he'd be overwhelmed with the amount of people he cold thank. Moyes could have easily favored Vito like. But don't break the illusion. Moyes didn't give youth a chance, that's the decided consensus. He didn't give game time 11 under 23s.
Far from it imo to get that kind of money for a goalkeeper is great buissness for the club even if we had stayed up, plus the lad has ambitions of his own.
