We can have few complaints despite the contentious nature of the sending off as we were second best all night, especially in midfield where we were beaten to the second ball and gave away numerous free kicks. Despite Jayson having his hands warmed five times in the first ten minutes we managed to weather the early storm and even went ahead when they gave away a needless penalty. I was impressed by Humphreys in the first half - he looked a real threat and took the penalty confidently. We had our best spell just after we scored and had a few half chances but to be honest the Posh looked like scoring virtually every time they got near our box.
Humphreys can have few complaints about the first booking and then showed his inexperience by standing in front of the ball (though slowly retreating) when they had a free kick. Their player did not try to take the free kick sensibly but merely kicked the ball straight at him to try and get him booked again and sent off (which the ref duly did). Harsh but within the letter of the law. The game changed after that as we had no let out ball and it was no surprise when we under constant pressure and conceded two rather soft headed goals. We never got too near their keeper in the second half. Lets hope Abu, Freddie and Tyler are back on Saturday as, if we can beat Wimbledon, it will still have ben a pretty good week.

It was indeed frustrating to hear the lack of control in the squad by our players at the start of the game after the previous performances. Was it down to the changes made to the starting lineup or the opposition? We're certainly going to miss Ogogo in cm and hope that Hurst can sort out the best replacement in training this week.

I think Ogogo missing was a big blow ( and the Posh have some skilful and streetwise players) and it was not easy for Morris or Yates to come into that game. Looks like Abu will be out for a while and I would love to see Grimmer given a chance in that role as his extra experience and pace could serve us well there.
