As two Party chairmen hand in their resignations from UKIP in protest at the “crass insensitivity” of Paul Nuttall’s handling of the controversy over his claims about the Hillsborough disaster, will the man himself be forced to resign. Will he? Should he? https://www.theguardian.com/politic...ls-quit-paul-nuttall-hillsborough-controversy
I can't see him doing anything but resigning given the legs this story now has. Apparently his personal website has been down for about 5 days for "scheduled maintenance”, doesn't look promising.
They had some six-fingered hick on Stephen Nolan on 5L last night claiming that this and Trump's Sweden massacre thing were just 'Fake News' put out by the liberal press and, wait for it, we should get our news from Briebart and Russia Today. Frighteningly, he believed it too. This guy was from the West Country - isn't Sis Irish?
At the very, very least he should condemn Banks for his comments, not because the guy doesn't reflect a sizeable proportion of the population (i'm afraid the ignorant **** does, and he's entitled to his opinion) but that it was Nutall's exploitation, and unbelievable lies, if we're honest, that has brought about the Hillsborough disaster that he so finds he's 'Sick about hearing' being highlighted again. Instead, with Banks being the bankroller of UKIP, Nutall's crocodile emotions do not extend to challenging this prick.
my view is the actual by election will be the real reason behind these resignations and they expect to lose then kick him out. simple really. theres no high moral ground within that cesspool party. in fact i'd go so far as to say their party leader used Hillsborough to his own ends and now these lackeys resigning are using the outrage that was felt to their own ends too. this is ALL about the election. its this week isn't it?
I agree but maybe his lack of action is due to having taken it "under advisement". mito - the election is this week 23rd.
He'll ride it out, as he should have gone when it first appeared. If he gets elected it'll prove the country has officially gone to the dogs.
nope yes the website is probably still down as they now need to check all the claims on it as he was also claiming a MA (or similar) when in actual fact he left the course after a couple of months. As Trump has shown being a bigoted fantasist is apparently no reason to withold your vote.
Not sure he's a bigot. You're right about certain similarities he has with Trump though as from the little I've seen on him, he seems guilty of both Party flip flopping and populism.
