Luiz, Alonso, Cescy are all lazy, luxurious players. Cannot have them all.

Can only afford Luiz in there.
Well deserved loss for us, with the way Conte started this.
Gets City & Manu right back in title race.

    This was squarely on Conte.
Guess he wanted to spice up the title run in. Given City & Manu huge chance now.

Thank **** Spuds are #2. We can discount them.

Oh well, a silly loss to be honest, especially when there are harder games coming up.

It will be 0-0 at our place.

That's what we specialise in. 0-0.

True. When Ibra's playing we occasionally score a goal.

Extremely ordinary display, not going to slash my wrists just yet, but this is a game we should have won, and Palace just out worked us. Some strangely lethargic goings on, but as they say, you can't win em all.
Will not be one bit sorry if Costa goes, and he can take Michy and Fabregas with him for mine. So much skilful play from the wingers always breaks down when it gets to Costa. He's only good when he has something to run onto. When faced with a couple of defenders in the box he just doesn't have the skill to get behind them. I think we need a different type of forward from the bulldozers we have used recently. Someone with quick feet and a bit of guile is required. Costa is no Drogba.

    you cannot legislate for
(Cescy + Cahill + Alonso) No legs + Pedro (on Defense)
    vs
(Zaha + Townsend + Schlupp + Puncheon) Speed Merchants!!

This one is squarely on Conte.
Hope Conte cannot be this bad against other teams.
    or
All other teams don't have these many speed merchants in their squad let alone 11.

I am still confident that we won't let in 2 goals in 2 minutes like we did.
title is still secure, thanks to Spuds in #2.
P.S I have 3 spuds transferred into my fantasy today just to ensure the obvious.

  14. Surprise result. I have you down for an easy win.

It just goes to show that nothing can be taken for granted.

You had a 13 points' lead over us, with eleven games to go. That's down to a 7 points' lead with 8 games left.

I still expect you finish the job, but anyone who says that we do not remain in contention is playing the fool.

It's going to be a fascinating close to the season.

I have been saying for a long time that the title will go down to the wire. Nothing has changed my mind.

Would rather be in our position than yours, but only a dope would not compliment Spurs and especially their manager, on a very good season. Poncho has brought on his youngsters really well, and in my opinion, made the best of his squad more often than not. Spurs have shown genuine improvement this season, and a couple of times shown they can match it or even outplay very good teams. Credit where it's due.

    Yup.
Said a couple weeks ago that if anyone takes us to the wire, it will be the Spuds.
Poncho has made some shrewd signings, and their squad is not far from being excellent.
They have a goal scorer in Kane, a midfield player who can put it about AND score in Alli, they just maybe need a flair player who can bring a moment of brilliance like we have in Hazard.
Really rate their defence too, Vertonghen and Alderweild(sp?), are both very good.

    @Hoddle Is A God

My only question will be, assuming we do not have a deltmown and take the title, next season, will Spurs be able to carry this on?
Quite a few times we have seen them look like they are starting to build something, and have a good season, then the next season, historically, it has come crumbling down spectacularly.
This time you will have CL football I suppose.
Just there have been too many false dawns at White Hart Lane.

very worrying result. Great that City drew at least so only made a point on us but it's Spurs who worry me especially as they have a pretty good few games coming up on paper and we have City next. Could be only a 4 or 5 point gap by Thursday!!

There was always going to be a few twist and turns. Least we have the luxury of being able to drop some points. Spurs really have to win almost all their games to have a realistic chance you'd think. Ditto City.
