Could he be our answer to the missing Cazorla ?

    Hell No.

This is supposed to be his best position? He should be chomping at the bit to prove he's good enough to start for us. Instead we get lacklustre displays. No end product, mediocre workrate.

I can't agree with this - you have been on his case all season. I think an objective view would be that he is better in this position, he tries more than some others and has set up more than a few chances. Where I do agree is that, no, not yet at any rate, he is not the answer to a missing Cazorla. Not many answers are available though.

Thought he looked quite good in there against Hull yesterday.

You said you didn't watch it... So are you basing that on MOTD highlights?

No our midfield was disappointing at best. We looked better when Elneny came on.

So far Ox has played 4 games in the middle and 2 of them have been losses as well as the rather unconvincing win against Hull.
You would have to say the Chelsea game was lost in midfield - they totally dominated this area of the pitch. Soo objectively speaking has our midfield improved with Chamberlain in there? No it hasn't -it's gotten worse.

Its crazy that Wenger didn't recall Wilshere - he's having a decent Season at Bournemouth and would have been useful over the last few games.
Personally looking forward to seeing Xhaka back in the side.

We're not going to agree on the Ox and I haven't got the inclination to argue with anyone about any individual when it's clear the whole team needs a shake up. I do agree with you to some degree about the Wilshire point you make and Xhaka. I'm just waiting to see what happens on Wednesday in Munich.

Wilshere can't be recalled under the terms of his loan.

I agree, it's hard to single out players when it's the team as a whole that is the issue. But we talk about Wilshere coming in, would he really have made the difference? I don't think he would have. We simply do not have a player that can replicate what Cazorla does, and the only solution was to bring in someone from Spain who does. No one in our squad has the technical ability to do what he does and Wilshere certainly doesn't. As good as Wilshere is, he simply isn't in Cazorla's class.
