    - two promotions (back-to-back)

    - three top eight finishes in the top flight

    - finished sixth in the Premier League (three points off a UCL spot)

    - two European campaigns

    - two trips to Wembley

    - a winning JPT Final

    - a League Cup final

    - a brand new, state-of-the-art training complex

    - teams which always try to play the right way

    - ensuring the strength and consistency of the academy

    - a sustainable club which is financially healthy

Thanks to the Liebherr family for making it all possible.

My user name has never felt more apt. It will stay the same forever even after Kat is long gone.

I said in my 'hypothetical' thread that winning a cup feels like the next natural step in our progession. Let's finish the job.

One thing I will say is I don't wanna see any fans talking about the final as 'a good day out' & 'achievement to even get there' etc.

That's the wrong mentality imo, I'm not dreaming of enjoying a day out at Wembley, I want to go there to win.

Wembley is no place for losers.

Anyway, thanks to Markus, Nicola, Kat, Reed, Nigel, Rickie, Deano and many, many others. Even Lallana, they've all played a part big or small in our rise, and I've never been so damn proud to support this special club.

    Up the ****ing Saints <cheers>

Sorry to put a downer on this thread but I'm not that happy with the Liebherr era, especially when you lay it out like the above. There is a 15 year old lad in our house who is a little disturbed at how much his Dad hugged him last night. This lad was introduced to saints 11 years ago when things weren't great and he was too young to understand it. By the time 2009 came he was older enough to be upset when we sold his favourite player, Andrew Surman, just to survive. I'll Never forget that day. I sat him down and explained there might not be a Saints anymore either. His response was to say we'd follow Cobblers if there was no Saints. Now he was 7/8 then and remembers it well when I told him it's tough being a Saints fan..... now after these bleedin' Liebherrs have come in and given him that bloody long list of good stuff, he thinks his Dad is a lying bastard!!!!

    Thanks Markus.

And yet there are still fans on Saintsweb who think the board are crap and can't wait for Katharina to sell us....mainly because no money is being spent. I can only assume the Academy buildings are made out of Lego and our team are paid with Monopoly money....and as for our crap manager!

    THIS

I have a picture of not only the 3500 there at Anfield last night, but in living rooms around the country/globe of sheer ecstasy as Shane Long slotted in the winner.

My other half - I call her the oracle - suggested that something special may happen so she kept my two dogs with her in the lounge while I watched in the front room. Daisy, on the right, has never been the same since she was on my lap when Lambert scored against Pompey at Fratton Park in the Championship ;)
