Can't be bothered to read 341 pages. What were the issues?

He was only on for a few minutes yesterday but first impressions were very good - strong, fast and his touch (much criticised by Everton fans) looked very good. I think he could be a big hit.

apparently comedy gold signing by Martinez- based solely on YouTube video evidence and hearsay of his abilities. apparently wasn't scouted.- basically would be hard pressed to play conference football . promptly dropped like a hot potato when koeman came in and only given a squad number when they couldn't shift him- relegated to under 23 football collecting 55k p/week on a 3 year deal. All for giving the lad a fair crack but its certainly eye opening if you havnt got anything better to do on a wet sunday afternoon.

I'd rather gouge my own eyeballs out with a **** encrusted spoon than read page afer page of Evertonian drivel .... but that's just me.

I reckon he was mismanaged. he looked OK when he came on.
if only Dio'd have timed his run better, he could've had an assist in his first game

Well he seems pacey which is something we have needed. He is another player which we desperately need numbers.

He's enabled us to take off our better players like snodgrass and hernandez. Who previously would have had to play a full 90mins.

One of the main reasons we have been throwing away leads and wins is that we have poor fitness and energy levels towards the ends of games and therefore we can't continue to press and push up preventing teams from building up play.

Niasse did a good job of closing down the opposition and enabled us not to fall apart at the end of the game.

Who knows. Given some time, respect and confidence he might start scoring.

I've got a feeling he'll prove that to be bullshit while he's here. His goals and assists shown on You tube demonstrate that a lot of the criticism can't be true unless a decent player loses all of his skills overnight.
Also the increasingly harsh ways Everton chose to punish him bordered on humiliation, which to me indicates something suspicious in their attitude to the player from the start.

What is comedic is the suggestion that Everton would pay £13m for a player they hadn't seen. It didn't happen. I give more credence to the suggestion that Koemans Mrs had the hots for him, it's slightly more likely.

I would love him to turn out to be the real deal for city- yes I know its just a forum but its these guys that go and see the players in the flesh and the majority viewpoint was that he was a bit crap to say the least- at least its a loan with a view to a deal - I hope by may I come back to this thread eating humble pie.

He played 152 minutes dispersed over 5 games for the first team in the first season then Koeman stuck him in the under 23s (where he scored goals), so they didn't see much of him to form their opinions.

If it's true he slapped his wife about, maybe someone high up at Everton was just doing the right thing and disassociating the club from a wife beater.

I think you'll find slapping his Mrs is a cultural thing. They all do it there.

    Liverpool I mean.
