Otto is the American kid who was arrested for stealing a banner, jailed for a year and a half and then was repatriated last week in a coma........the North Koreans said he had botulism but in the USA they could find no trace of the toxin. He never recovered

What scares me so much about this is the "openness" of the North Koreans returning him...There are evil regimes, for example Syria...where genocide appears to happen regularly... but they try to deny their actions. "It wasn't us, it never happened"

North Korea don't care...I am seriously scared that anything could happen with them.

History teaches us that all such regimes crumble, or perhaps evolve, eventually. Gengis Khan to the Caesars to Communist Russia and a whole host in between. Interestingly China appears to be evolving though the gap between rich and poor there is far worse than here.

Hopefully only a question of time though, to counter my own point, Bobby Mugabe is still going strong!!

Beth, as with most dictatorships, they care little of what the world thinks of them, in fact they seemingly go out of their way provoke the Western world. Worrying times ahead l think and with Kim, it can only end one way.

I don't understand why people go to North Korea in the first place. There are still 3 Americans being held there on made up charges.

It really isn't a very attractive destination, as Durbar says, why would anyone want to visit such a place?...

Dennis Rodman, the former NBA player, is a frequent visitor to North Korea. They keep letting him leave!
