From what ive read the deal has nothing to do with PSG , another company(psg connected) has offered Neymar a contract which allows him to buy him self out of his barca one. All pretty messed up.

 

?? In Spain it is a legal requirement for every player to have a buy out clause on their contract, so the player themselves can buy themselves out of the contract if they so choose. Knowing this and the fact that the players themselves rarely do it and only other clubs will match the fee it seems strange that Barca would have Neymars in an attainable range for big teams. They may aswell put it at like a billion or something so it becomes a non factor.

 

This value is unprecedented, close to double the current transfer record and I'm sure over the coming days we'll hear comparisons in terms of council spends & national wealth which will be sickening.

Well I disagree, the fact that they have to have release clauses in their contracts imo means that you should make it absolutely unattainable for any team to buy one of your best players. Neymar is the heir to the "best player in the world" crown, there is no way he should be being given the opportunity to leave like this for a team like Barca.

 

Neymar could house and feed every homeless man and woman in Paris for that, and still have enough for the superyacht-fare home.
