Other Games w/e beg 11/08/17

It's a bit of a worry that our relegation rivals appear to be rather good....

 

Huddersfield away next Sunday...

 

Yes and no. The 'huge chasm' between the top of the Championship and bottom of the Premiership isn't really a huge chasm is it. Huddersfield have competed well and there's no reason to think we will not.

I suspect we are going to get comfortably beaten tomorrow 1-3 style but any points from it are a bonus.

Swansea looked toothless and if they lose Siggurdson are in trouble. Palace were a shambles. They play Liverpool and Man Utd next before then playing each other. Too early to read too much into things but their fans aren't happy.

Throw in Brighton, Stoke, Bournemouth and even the likes of Burnley and Huddersfield (who both looked very good today) and it boils down to us just making sure we get 37+ points so we don't have to worry about others. This season is going to be nip and tuck, I think we'll get more than 30 points but we wont get more than 40-45.

 

Is this a variation on Chippy's "insurance bet"? The Haslam "spread bet".

 

Yeah, pick a 5 point spread. I'm going for 36-40.
