Should free up some more wages for Pierre or a really decent striker. I'd swap Wood, Weston and Thompson for a 20 goals a season player.

We appear not to have signed anyone yet. What is the timescale for transfers?

I'm getting a little concerned now, players not signing extensions and no new signings. Still I reckon we only need 3-4 players and I trust GA to get at least 2 who work out. Some clubs have signed loads of players already.

Well our first game is against Lincoln and, from what I saw of them last year, they were pretty good. Not the ideal first game.

Yes difficult start they will be on a high after last season, a couple of seasons ago we lost at home to Tranmere at the start of the season after their relegation from league 1, I remember we went one way & Tranmere the other. Until we are about 10 games in then we will know how it might turn out. After last season its anybody's guess the way we played in patches last season.

For the last 2 seasons if not 3, nobody has run away with league 2 from the start and often teams that have been up there have ended up down the bottom end and vice versa. I think all of the leagues are hard to fathom from Championship down and the records show that anyone can win any game whoever they are playing. Well except Rotherham last season that is. I'm not so sure you will have a clue even after 10 games unless you have either 30 points or none at all. Anyone here write off Newport last season?

Yes & Blackpool as well as you say Greeny you can not be sure Blackpool with supporters in dispute with owners majority did'nt even go to Wembley go up, Orient supporters in dispute with owners go the other way.

Normally by this stage of pre-season we have at least an inkling of some transfer activity. In fact Ainsworth has tended to do quite a lot of his work early, but obviously not this season.
I am not worried, just bored of the lack of football and the lack of speculation!!!

The problem is we probably will not have a clue who they are anyway unless they have a lot of league football behind them

No doubt we'll have some players on trial in the pre season friendlies hopefully a winger stands out.
