Than we were at this point last season. We're scoring less but we're conceding less. This time last season. Now
Also noticed the gap to the teams above was bigger as well, we're closely grouped this season and any team putting a little run together would see themselves clear in no time. All to play for.
I think Burnley are safe but look at Southampton and Bournemouth, both defences are atrocious and they're both sliding very quickly in the wrong direction. Compare them to Palace from last season, CP got sucked into it near the end, of course they avoided relegation in the end but those two are by no means safe. Much prefer Chelsea down there too.
If we can get the points on Saturday then the Saints will only be 5 points ahead of us, that's nowt with the little momentum those at the bottom seem to be gathering. Some say tthe bottom six are in the relegation scrap but as has been said both the south coast clubs must be bricking it also. We have the experience of these relegation battles (unfortunately) and I'm sure that we will prevail in the end, what a great escape that will be if we pull it off.
I'm convinced Middlesboro are going down, their lack of goals will see to them, imo. I've had a feeling for a while that Bournemouth are this years team that will drop like a stone and go down. Pick one out of Palace, Sunderland, Swansea, Leicester and Hull.
unlike last year though we don't have the luxury of 4 points from Newcastle. I can also see a couple getting sucked into the mess and 1 or 2 going on a good run, hopefully one of them is us.
Lets all hope for a strong finale to the season as per norm. I think Burnley will start to drop, they only need their home form bubble to burst. Leicester i think are still living the dream and haven't woken up yet, when they do i reckon they will pull away like 2 seasons ago.
I think Leicester are suffering from chronic fatigue, Huth and Morgan look absolutely savaged. I hadn't noticed until we played them on Sunday. They've been figured out too, no more balls over the top to Vardy, he's becoming more and more redundant and looking every bit the Fleetwood Town player again. A fairytale story, but like Carragher said, if they go down the relegation will be part of that fairytale. Who on here would take a league title followed by a relegation? I'm assuming every last one of you would snap my hand off for it. I wouldn't take it, but I can see why a team like Leics will still revel in glory, after a relegation.
I'd take relegation for a league cup win. Just want to see us win something, anything! We'd come back to the Premier league, one day, anyway.
Southampton might take relegation after a league cup win. I'm not confident about winning it, despite their pathetic recent displays in the league.
I think opposite. I think Burnley will get the points they need with time to spare. Leicester have us written all over them. The season we finished 7th the 2nd time, the dynamic of a team with a rigid style of football was forced to evolve after Quinn retired, Reid couldn't evolve us when the changes were forced. Leicester are team with a rigid style, they've lost Kante, a key dynamic in their rigid system and it's affecting the entire team and it doesn't look like ranieri has a plan B, Defence look all over the place and last season's attacking stars aren't delivering. I think they'll slip further into the **** and in as much danger as anyone of going down.
If I was Ranieri I'd be starting Ulloa every game once he's fit. I'd drop Mahrez and Vardy, use Ulloa and Okazaki instead. Huth or Morgan need dropped too, both if they have enough cover. Fetch Albrighton back and get him delivering crosses into Ulloa. They're in a relegation battle now, they can't carry on pretending they're the Leicester of 15/16 anymore, they need to adjust their mindset and get back into Leicester 14/15 mode. Something tells me Ranieri hasn't got the spine to upset his players though.
Ill be more than happy if they do Bri, and yes it does look like Claudio is beginning to be clueless. Maybe like Tel said as well that they are just physically fukced? I wonder if the champions league is having an effect on them as well?
Burnley will be fine this season. They'll end up on around 37 points, 36 of them at home! They might end up with the worst ever away season performance record ever.
You couldnt make the Leicester story up could you, Championship to Premiership champions then fighting to stay in the league. Weird.
