I am proud to say I have never I have never run a business....never wanted to be a capitalist pig dog....up the workers Oh...and tim is **** so ffs someone sack him
We lost because Kaboul got sent off. (Of course, we might very well have found another way to lose if he hadn't been sent off, but that was the immediate reason. We looked like crap the first part of the game, but we usually have recently, when our record has been pretty good.) I've got three conflicting thoughts on this: 1. Another big mistake by a player I still like, and one I still think can be very good. Maybe he just isn't the defender to play with no DM. 2. Yeah, it could be given. But: that looked like half a dive at least...a little bump and he goes sprawling...I still haven't seen replays, but it looked very weak in real time; a carefully calculated act to get Kaboul sent off. 3. It could be given, sure. And how many times has it been given in Spurs' favor this year? I think I remember three or four times the last defender fouled one of our players. The only question was whether he would get a yellow. And if you enforce a rule one time out of four or five, you're making it up as you go along, which sums up PL officials. If you say, well, "it's in the rules," when it's given, and "it's not usually given," when it's not, you're giving the officials free license to award the game to whomever they like.
My first trip to Upton Park was a nightmare. The police escort made us late by 2 mins for a start and then the game itself was just depressing. Even before Kaboul's red it felt as though it was gonna be one of those games where we play ****. For the first time in about 9 years of going to Spurs games, I actually left before the final whistle (about 87 mins), not only was I disgusted at the lacklustre performance (not for the first time this season) but seeing West Ham celebrate a 3rd victory over us in one season was too much for me. Cheers for a ****, depressing performance Spurs on top of a ****, depressing season, can't wait for next weekend to be over.
I actually thought of you as i walked down Green Street, passed the stadium about 10mins into the 2nd half. I had my headphones on but because i'm a gluton for punishment i lifted them from my ears briefly as i went by. Depressing. I hope you went elsewhere to drown your sorrows
Started off the day at the Railway Inn outside Liverpool Street and ended it there. To be fair the Spurs fans I was with were a great laugh, I went with 3 mates, met a few others in the ground but we mixed in with a group of about 30-40 at the pub, we kept chanting "Our season's over and we're in the piss!" (along with a few others) after the game and that's exactly what we done when we got back to Liverpool Street. Have to praise the Police for once too, usually I find them arrogant pricks but the ones that escorted us from the pubs to the stations to the ground were a great laugh, giving us banter and at one point, one of them joined in with a chant on the train up to West Ham. Good day out, just as usual - the result let us down.
