BM, what was the Royalty called prior to that name. Could have sworn it had another title. Now called The Stumble Inn.

Me da bumped into Bobby Thompson in the dun cow in the late 1960's early1970's !, he could gan out with a 10 bob note get drunk with me uncle have a fish lot and still have change left, then up to the toilet in the house, then fall down the stairs pissed. As I have said before to see my uncle driving the reliant robin afterwards was hilarious, i was in a couple of times when he took the corners at 50 mph it sounded like a spluttering outboard motor, i wonder how i survived. you could drink and drive back in them days.

My first under age drink was in the Smiths Arms at the Green in Southwick, we used to take our school ties off and the school badge and ask for a pint of scotch please mister :) I didn't know the names of any other beers at the time and no chance of getting into my local, the Slipway cos the wife who ran it was a mate of my mothers and knew how old I was :(

I saw the Buzzcocks there last year in it's present name as North Shore and it was a cracking night with the excellent local punk band 1977 backing them up.
