Looking back maybe it was " during the karma karma karma chameleon, you come and go, you come and goooo" [emoji4]
Anyone get asked for their passport at the turnstile? Showed my ticket to a bloke, who gave it a cursory glance, got the usual pat down and then straight through the automated turnstile
I got a very thorough pat down - was beginning to think the guy liked me. Didn't see or here of any examination of tickets or passports at all, thank God. Given how long it took to get out the ground after the game, one hold up was enough.
Yeah that was ridiculous an amount of time. I appreciate a wait is necessary but I think all the "ultras" were home & having a spag bol by the time we got out. Cant wait for the return & stuff them (fingers x'd anyway).
Seems to have been peaceful though....apart from the 4 fans being chased by a transvestite with a knife (as reported on Echo site).
Should add that I can see how English fans get in trouble with police abroad though. The way of partying could easily be misconstrued as rowdy if you didn't know. I'm pretty sure that if the scenes down the canal were in the main square that the Italian police would have piled in. Never for one second thought it would get ugly though. I did have a bloke in his 60s nick a beer from me though while I was on the phone
Just read this and I know one of the lads involved Also the photogallery on Echo site worth a look. Thereisonlyoneno7 your brother is in a couple!!
Massive shame I didn't get to the meet up. My phones internet wouldn't work, and the wifi at my hostel was crap, so I couldn't get on here. I hope you all had a brilliant time.
