Hamilton has his elbows out, but Vettel, Redbull and even Williams are now in Mercedes touching distance. Was it not for radical strategy and race craft errors we could have seen a different result. Nevertheless, we have more than half the season left. And if Canada and Monaco were anything to go by, this season is far from over. We venture to parts unknown, what should we expect? *The last European Grand Prix was held in Valencia in 2012.* please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Location Azadliq Square, Baku, Azerbaijan Capacity 28,000 FIA Grade 1 Architect Hermann Tilke Major events FIA Formula One European Grand Prix (2016–) GP2 Series (2016–) Grand Prix circuit Length 6.006 km (3.732 mi) Turns 20 Most wins European Grand Prix (drivers) please log in to view this image Michael Schumacher (6) Most wins (constructors) please log in to view this image Ferrari (7) FRI 17TH JUN FP1: 10.00AM FRI 17TH JUN FP2: 2.00PM SAT 18TH JUN SP3: 11.00AM SAT 18TH JUN Q: 2.00PM SUN 19TH JUN R: 2.00PM *All times are BST* Predictions Championship x5 St. Slicks of Stoneham x4 AbsolutelyGlorious x3 Eternalmsc x2 SgtBhaji BLS DHCanary ElBando Happyal JonnyBaws Dell Boy Ched999uk PaulK Eddie_squid x1 Sportista Wrathmonk AllsaintsChris Quagmireuk JuliusCaesar Ernie Becclestone MarkBlow
Am sticking it out there, but Ricciardo for me. New track, probably dusty, looks like it could suit an RBR with its excellent chassis and decent traction. Merc will of course be hard to beat but this could be another place where they get a real challenge.
I was looking forward to this race as it is new it could be a good race. Everyone starting from zero data, new tarmac, no run off, some nice wide sections, some very very narrow bits. Just a pity I can't watch it live
That 8-11 section does look interesting. Good thing because the rest of the track is composed of completely identical right angles.
Well balls. I could have sworn I voted for Hamilton last race... must have hit the wrong option. Grrrrrrr.
Lol... I think I posited something about going for Hamilton and then must have clinked the wrong option. Ooops.
I've gone for Hamilton after a bit of a think. Hard to know on an unknown circuit but he is in form and seems to cope with new circuits and situations well. I further predict that there will continue to be pressure from Red Bull and Ferrari and that Nico will finish lower than second. You heard it here first, unless it doesn't happen in which case shut up what you on about I never said that.
