Johnson's managerial record at Oldham, Barnsley and Bristol doesn't make great reading. From 199 games his record reads W74 D51 L74. Never took any club higher than 9th in the league. He seems adept at getting teams out of relegation battles - and then jumping ship. Guided Bristol to 18th last season. They are sat in 18th again this season. He is on borrowed time if that's the limit of his abilities. Its fine being young and highly rated but ask Karl Robinson... it doesn't make you a great manager.

Karl Robinson is an awful example of a good manager, he's spent millions on 14 players (and counting) .

    Oh hang on .........

'yet if he jacked it in you"d say he was jumping ship'

    No I wouldn't, I'd say he'd need a straightjacket.
Where else on Earth would he be afforded the unquestioned backing of another Steve Lansdown.
Junior is very lucky to be SL's chosen Puppet.

RP.. love you to bits and I agree with the vast majority of your posts..

But I cant get this LJ blind hatred and believe me I reckon he has made some catastrophic mistakes and wouldn't be bothered too much if he moved on tomorrow.. but really????

Never said play him wide, did say play him alongside Tammy as there was no alternative.
But have screamed play him in his correct position central behind two strikers.

    Boring and repetitive.
    And 9 losses from 10 isn't ?

Watching Ashton was like something from the Politburo years back.
I can't stand the smooth talking individual or the idiot feeding him 'questions'.

We'll have a bounce now, and again when the next shed load arrive in the summer, but in the end the runt effect will see us crash next season.
I love you to bits as well, and 1 or 2 more, I hope I can rely on you to remind remind a few on here when Lansdown has to remove Junior.
Players will suss him, it will only be time.

    Over and out.

Blimey Redprintt, what are you going to say if we get 3 wins on the bounce.....oh I know.....Zillions poured at it, down to someone else blah blah...
    Broken Record comes to mind!!
All managers go eventually and when the time comes, we won't have to wait long for your predictable rant....
Will you give the next manager the same amount of grief? God help us if he's related to the Johnsons!!

Bill Nicholson, blimey that's going back a bit.......those were the days when a job was for life!!
Arsene I grant you and although I've always hated Arsenal I actually think they are a role model for all football clubs, build the infrastructure, get the stadium payed for and put the club in a position it will run without a multi oil fueled billionaire having to bail them out when things don't go well..
Stability without chopping and changing for long term success.

Arsenal are a perfect example of a football club running correctly.
