Just thought I'd share.... please log in to view this image This also applies to the man divisions in Scotland too. #inrafaitrust
We are top scorers both home and away in the Championship. And we have conceded the fewest goals away from home.
I actually sadly agree with him. Should be "No other team...", at least when i first read the title that's what i thought.
PEDANTIC A person who insists on strict on strict adherence to formal rules or literal meanings at the expense of a wider view Maybe your wife is right
We also have a nine point gap over third which is good. It's actually been a good weekend results wise for us this weekend with teams third onwards losing points.
Yep, she can't stand you either. Only kidding. Don't get me wrong, my wife can't stand you but I can.
Actually, grammatically he is wrong. As we are mentioned in op title there is no need for a further reference, directly or indirectly, to us.
The only problem with the whole top scorers things is that we sometimes score 4 in one game, and then fail to break down a **** team and score 0.
The unavoidable stat though mate is that the team which wins the most games in a season more often than not is the one who finishes top...
If we still have that stat intact by the end of Feb then I think we'll be in a very strong position - tough month ahead
I take some comfort from our goal difference which only Brighton come close to. Yes it's only worth a point but reassures me that we probably are in the top two teams zone, despite a blip in December, which was partly due to cup game and a shocking refeering performance.
Prediction machine at the BBC decides Newcastle United and Brighton will get promoted... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38663851
Hate to be the angel of Doom ... SAM (Sports Analytical Machine) takes into account a wide range of factors to work out match results, looking at average performances so far and calculating what that means for the remaining fixtures. It is based on players remaining fit and continuing with their average performance levels, so an injury to Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle or Brighton forward Glenn Murray, for example, would have a significant impact on these predicted outcomes.
