No plan B needed against teams like Burnley, says Klopp

Plan B would be the opposite of what we do which is why it doesn't work.

If we had a tall bloke on the bench we could just play long balls too then our whole team would suffer as we have small blokes who like multiple touches of the ball and quick counter attacks.

If we ask the team to give the other team all the ball it wouldn't work because teams like Burnley will gladly just give us the ball back.

I agree with having to set up differently against teams but our plan 'B' would be something like dropping Firmino and playing Origi where we still have a quick front three but Origi would play more centrally and be the focal point.

Plan B isn't just get plan A and turn it upside down or inside out.

For me, a plan B isn't a fixed plan like Plan A should be. Plan B could be whatever it needs to be for each particular game, something as simple as the wingers dropping back or moving in centrally or whatever, tailored to suit how the game is actually panning out.

Plan B to me means getting someone off the bench to get you out of a hole. We currently don't have that luxury at Liverpool, but teams like united do

    Well it is really.

Look at Arsenal, there plan A this season is a front three of Sanchez, walcott, ozil. Whenever there losing or what a plan B they have Giroud to hold the ball and someone to cross to. Basically a opposite of there plan A.

Typically subs aren't used until the second half and usually mid way through, by then it's often too late. A good plan B should be able to be implemented after say the first 30 minutes if things start to wobble.

    <laugh> got me.

As I said I don't think it should be a fixed plan, how could it be, each game plays out very differently. I think there needs to be a willingness to change things up as and when. It's been my only criticism of Klopp that he waits too long to make a change and I don't necessarily mean a sub.

Plan B should be when we are leading,
we must prevent them from scoring .When they packed the bus they must not get out of their area.

Before we look at a plan b, I think Klopp is more concerned with perfecting our plan a.

So far, he's got it half right which is exploiting teams who play a high line. Now he's got to get this system to be able to play the same against teams who sit deep. It doesn't mean we have to completely change the system/style to suit the opposition. We just have to become better at it.

Plan A is pressing with fast free flowing attacking play weekend possession is gained.

Plan B should be width, quick one/two touch passing and the midfielders liking to create something.

Of course we only have a plan B for this game and not other teams 'like Burnley'

    Plan A for Arsenal
    Plan B for Burnley
    Plan C for Chelsea
Plan D for ... awaits opponent
    Plan E for Everton
Plan F for ... awaits opponent
Plan G for ... awaits opponent
    Plan H for Hull

    etc etc

Let's just say I had Newcastle to beat Fulham and leave it at that. As usual my son won, but then he has bets which include Russian second division teams and other obscure leagues. I think he is about £600 in profit since this season began all with £2 stakes.

Plan a = say we qill play a crazy game then not turn up at all til rhe opponent scores.

Plan b = top 4 rival and we turn up.

Plan c = kicking match with everton.

I put plan a down as shockingly theres more than 6 sides in the prem.... what we ee v good sides is actually not the prem norm.
