Forgive my ignorance, but is it the same Eisner that Family Guy sometimes portrays as a callous uber capitalist ****?
From that and what I've heard/read before, I think I'd rather stick with our own personal Looney Tunes.
The Allam Squash thing doesn't look like it has sold well. One of the primary schools tweeted some photos of them there and half the seats are empty - plus, I imagine, the school seats were donated.
Hardly a surprise, I didn't even know it was on and I just checked and it's £33 + £3 handling for a ticket for tomorrow.
Brent Council have just approved permission for the full capacity of Wembley to be available to Spurs next season. It was previously limited.
Why was it limited? Any idea? Can a little club like Spurs fill it though? Just said that as following a heated discussion in the local, some time ago about size of support a Spurs fan (a who had moved up here) linked to a site which showed that apart from the fact Spurs had can enormous waiting list for season tickets their average down the years was the largest in London and higher than a lot of clubs whose supporters think they are bigger. Of course, until our play off final, our game at White Hart Lane in the early 1950s in Division Two was the largest crowd we had played in front of. As far as league games go only the ones at Old Trafford in the PL have been higher.
I have no idea, I just caught the decision on this thread. http://www.not606.com/threads/new-stadium-plans.297537/page-21
Seems strange to have limited it for club games. Though licensing authorities do love to do things to justify their existence. The restrictions on Twickenham's use are many. Read on the notes re the SAG meeting that the number of events at the KCOM are restricted. Strange, as the police justified segregation and their policing at City games some time ago on the basis that the KC was designed as an events stadium, not a football one. Most people would consider a football match, or a rugby one, as an event.
The former head of Walt Disney looks to be buying Portsmouth. Is this a nail in the coffin of supporter ownership of clubs?
There was an agreement that a certain amount of games/events could be staged at Full capacity. They had to get agreement from the local authority to lift it
