Not in terms of day to day running, Steve has paid for everything out of his own pocket. This new 'bundling Ferriby in' deal that's come to light (which I suspect is media bollocks) is new; if true it could be because they want a bit of money injected into the club.
Have to agree with Sterling on this one. I've spoken to Steve and Eman and way back in the summer they realised they couldn't afford to take the club any further forward- his health is their key concern and I don't think anyone can blame them for that. Although Assem's daughter, Eman, is married to Steve and has been involved in the running of the club, I have to say she came across to me as a very nice, genuine and engaging character. I certainly didn't sense any of the old man's influence in the background. It's a real shame, as I think they are just a bit out of their depth really, and no-one in the right mind would take on Ferriby as a going concern- it just hasn't got the infastructure, fanbase, potential, anything. In fact, it's pretty much a miracle they have got so far and are doing as well as they are. Unfortunately, I can only see it going crashing from here
For the record, I think this story about anyone buying City also having to buy North Ferriby is complete nonsense.
Although I struggle to see the reasoning/possibility, the fact remains that somebody involved with a deal for city looks to have confirmed it. Why would he favourite it if it was bollocks?
You simply can't own two clubs in England. So unless the Allams are unaware of this fact, it has to be bollocks.
But you could own as many grounds as you like. Chelsea also own the Rushmoor Stadium, home of Aldershot Town
The claim is that anyone buying City also has to buy North Ferriby United, not just a field in Ferriby.
Silly things like rules and laws didn't stop them demanding that the council do an illegal deal with them over the Airco fiasco.
What about the billionaire getting their billionaire mate to buy it in return for a minority share in Hull City, then the main investor taking a role as director at NFU and overseeing all runnings of the club? I'm sure there'd be a way around the laws when you're talking about a club the size of Ferriby
Well at least we can laugh at the Allam's financial situation if Ehab's short sightedness leads to relegation.
