Fonte is a good player, he deserved a big club but I'm glad the scousers never bought him. Ander Herrera is the most under rated player in the league, imo.
Yeah I like Herrera too. Goes about his business in an understated fashion - typically from the Basque country in that sense. Valencia is an absolute machine though. Very Jose. Him, Zlatan and Bailly. Power personified.
Not sure what your point is ? I defending Carr it's a witch hunt when in all honesty all he dies is provide a long list and they started at the bottom no doubt
He's been named on the Palace bench ffs! If he's available for what we sold him for and we don't pay up then we are ****ing idiots.
I'm not having that about Drogba. One of my favourite strikers. Selfless grafter, powerful, high end quality, proper footballer. The rest are though. Still though Chaos, its a wild generalisation
Just seen that the Swansea winger we were supposedly after, Barrow, has just signed on loan for Leeds.
He was basically French he lived there from 5 years old with his uncle rgdtvwas a professional football coach I believe. It's true African players in general are all showboating selfish plsyers that lack an evolved football brain Don't think I'm being racist I'm afraid I'm right here
He can get quite fat at times though. When he looks after himself he is talented. I think what Hangeland said about Zaha was interesting. That's the difference isn't it. Probably why he didn't cut it at Man U. Once you get to the top clubs, they're all good players. To make your mark, you need to be a physical machine as a minimum just to compete. Deeney could probably get so much more from himself over the years, he has a natural footballer brain. He's 28 now and he probably should have been playing at a high level a lot longer. Zaha is very talented, but it sounds like work is not something he is keen on or getting himself in the best possible physical shape. Of course we had the ultimate example in HBA. Payet is another one. Its interesting the like of Arsenal, Man U, PSG etc didn't fancy him despite his obvious talent. HBA is similar, natural ability, but hates hard work and has been shunned until PSG took a chance, only for him to **** that up. Just goes to show, ability is only one component to being a top footballer. You need the drive physically and mentally. You need to have a rock solid mentality. If you have all that your natural ability will take care of the rest. Its why the likes of Bale, Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar etc are so good. They combine the lot.
Ronaldinho is perhaps the one exception. Lazy as **** but could still coast through games up until his late 20's. Once he reached that age it all caught up with him and he vanished without a trace.
Just 3 yrs of Ronaldinho really. The team he played in was so good they could carry his laziness. Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Marquez, Larsson, Giuly, Deco, Eto, Messi, Van Bommel, etc. They were so good he just added sparkle. Again though he does highlight that for supreme quality with longevity, you have to do the physical work. For whatever reason, he only managed that for a few years. Have to say though at his peak, he was as good as most throughout the years. Its just his peak was very short lived. He just decided to party more and train less. He was so good at his peak he won everything. The motivation quickly disappeared and with it went his physical condition. Once he lost that physical edge - he looked a good player but it narrowed the gap to your other good players until eventually they just turned him into a shadow of his former self. I bet he had some pussy in his time. Ugly goofy ****er so you can't blame him.
