I have just been talking to an elderly couple outside of the stadium shop who are touring England on their bicycles visiting every premier League ground on their travels. They said that SAFC have been fantastic to them and gave them access to the pitch to take photos and couldn't have been more welcoming.. Nice to get some positive feedback for a change..

I truly think the club have a great rapport with the "people" - Just a pity the owner doesn;t have a great rapport with the fans.

Pity that they';re only doing Premier League grounds - what with that championship stadium only being a few mile north of us - ah well - down the A19 it is

Ah cool. Well I hope they continue to enjoy their tour and receive more of the same hospitality.

Nah mate, they were division 3 at the time..

Beat Stranraer in the promotion/relegation playoffs, proper pissed off a few of us were at the time.

Stranraer FC has a place in the heart, a few of us used to head there to meet the Irish lads off the ferry back in 87/88 for a bit of bareknuckle stuff, was all organised gruesome **** like with a knees up in the Swan Inn afterwards. Never any hard feelings, we just all liked to hit people at the time and the bulk of us were pretty handy, regardless of size and weight..

We were over in Dumfries one night, done a Queen of the South visit, were sitting having a bite and all hell kicked off with 4 blokes, we were in there like a flash, battered the lot and wrecked the place for the fun of it and got a tagged reputation. Castle Douglas on a Friday night was the old hunting ground, some hard lads in that town.

Like I said, happy days in my early 30's

    love life better now though..<ok>
