These lists are pathetic, on what grounds are Villa 7-1 favourites?

Have arguably the best manager in the league. Have the best squad and biggest expectation. Think they struggled a bit this year but fully expect them to get top 2 next season.

 

Think their name starts with an A- Maybe it was done alphabetically which is why we are featuring highly. Not good for Wolves

 

I'm not surprised Villa are favourites, what with their stature and resources - Di Matteo didn't seem to fit the Championship, but Steve Bruce is well seasoned in earning promotion from it. The favourites tag can be something of a millstone around the head though...

I'm a bit surprised City's odds are as short as 25-1. For me the stand out is Cardiff at 33/1 - they've been solid under Warnock and Tan doesn't seem to be interfering with the day to day. I can definitely see them making the playoffs at this moment in time.

 

AT THE MOMENT IT IS A GAME, and far from being pathetic it is or will become an indication on how the bookies see transfers and jostling unfolding..
most on here have little knowledge about how the book works ... and the first thing a bookie does is decide how many percent he wants to make .. usually anything up to 30% is a starter.....

The 3 that come down come with a minimum of £100m

IMO Boro already have a number of players suited to the Championship (Prem players don't always make good Championship players) - my money would be on them at 10-1

 

Boro are usually very strong at this level and will be rightly amongst the favourites to go straight back up.

They, along with Sunderland, Norwich, Villa and co are some of the frequent yo-yo clubs

 

We are only 13/2 to be relegated and a lot of clubs are shorter than that. Just shows that it is much harder to go up for all those 'small' clubs and that we are realistically all jostling to avoid the drop

 

ODDS at the moment, wherever you can find them are satchel fillers... there is probably a few peeps from every club in the 4 divisions already had a bet on their team because they thought the odds were good!
WHEN THE full championship is known then the odds will become firmer..
Villa favourites! but WE ONLY KNOW 4 OF THE TEAMS JOINING US Until we know what the x prem teams do player wise and all the released players are...bearing in mind there is only 2 windows to sort stuff... then odds will be "attractive" Burton to win the championship? I would suggest odds of 1000 -2000/1 bookies offering 66/1 -80/1 !

funny looking at the "form sides" over the last 6 matches of the champ - Fulham, Sheff Wed, Norwich, Bristol City, Reading and Blackburn and over the last 10 matches it's the same 6 bar Blackburn and inserting BHA

 

Yeah - we were one of the form sides in the last 10 games the season before and look how that worked out. Another relegation scrap is on the cards.

 

I personally think Florest should be shorter drifting to 33/1 from 28/1 looks tempting

reading and Villa both seem good value as fav's but at this early stage would sooner see them about 10/1
Burton would be good odds at 200/1
CITY AT 40/1 to win it...
Bogey teams are Sheffield U (high flying ) and Middsboro Sunderland ( struggling for top 12)
