Prediction League next season

Thankfully this seasons pain is nearly over. Next season (according to last years Chronic) will be wonderful and marvellous in every way.

From a prediction league viewpoint the fixtures are a nightmare. So many midweek fixtures it isn`t sensible to try and cover them all. Just need to look at the last couple of weeks on here to see the clip of it. Couldn`t be doing with that every week.

I don`t mind doing it next season but it would probably have to be restricted to Saturday fixtures. There`s usually about a dozen or so. That`s plenty to make it interesting without going overboard.

Your comments/input/suggestions/volunteers welcome.

 

sounds good to me pops.
we are all guessing on the same amount of fixtures and will be easier for you to sort and arrange.
tick in the box for just Saturday fixtures for me.

 

Your work on the prediction league is always appreciated. I thought the other day about volunteering but I am not sure I have the time/ability/commitment to do it.

The only change I would put forward as a suggestion for next season is 1 point for correct prediction and 2 points for a correct result.

 

It can be time consuming but retirement has its virtues.

No problem changing the points system. See what the others think.

 

Are you going to be doing Championship fixtures or sticking with PL ones?

 

Pops you post what prediction you like.
I don't think it makes much difference if some games are missed.
We can only predict on what you post and the table you provide will reflect on that.
You do a great job

I think its 1 for each at the minute. Always thought that getting the actual correct score was harder than just the correct prediction and deserved more points. Just my opinion though.

 

Whatever is best for you. You do a brill job week in week out

 

2 points for a correct result plus an extra point if the score is also correct.

Sorry mate, I actually knew that. I think my point (which is being very badly made) was that you should get more points for a correct score than for just a correct prediction. Hard day at work today..................

Saturdays only won`t be too bad. Bugrin about with all the mid week stuff is a non starter.

 

Back in my day the men used to drag themselves over hot coals every day for a bread sandwich, you kids with your tech problems don't know you're born.

 

I think we should do every single fixture. I'm willing to pitch in or even do it if you'd like a season off Pops? Could be your one and only out for a leisurely season.
