I stuck a few cheeky £'s on Jose....but knew it wouldn't happen. So here we are, a club who no matter what would have parted with its manager come the end of the season.....still without a manager!

    It's a shambles

    I don't agree it's a shambles, it's just a considered process.

Jose had us as part of his fall back plan and we waited for that to conclude (a couple of days before the Cup Final) before moving on to our shortlist.

Koeman was top of that list and he declined on Tuesday afternoon, so we moved on to Emery.

Who's keen apparently, but there's a danger that Madrid will move for him if Zidane doesn't lift the CL on Saturday ffs.

It's always a fluid situation in these kinds of appts, I'd rather us be going for the best available than making an 'easy' appt like Howe or god forbid Moyes, which is what would have happened had Bill still had his hand on the tiller.

Barring Madrid getting smashed in the CL final and them getting rid of Zidane as a result, it could be done and dusted by Weds next week.

Still watching this space, how many weeks since Bobby was pumped?

Surely we didn't put all our eggs in the Jose not going to United/Zizu not delivering CL basket!

I'm not convinced Bobby was a planned sacking tbh If it wasn't for the fans protests was he actually going to go in the summer as it looks like no groundwork was done before hand the way things are looking..

The sacking was planned, the timing was moved forward that's all.....

But no plan was in place, IF Jose was the plan.....then we are in trouble

You're right on the decision to bin him, that was made about a month before the end of the season

Jose was always a long shot, but remained a definite possibility until just over a week ago.

However, they didn't just leave all their eggs in that basket, which is why they'd spoken to 4 managers in total before the season even ended. Koeman was the first choice and he's declined, so they've moved on.

If Emery doesn't come off, then Mancini looks a real possibility now.

Pellegrini looking to make a move now.

The Sevillia guy still in the running but De Boer looking the bookies favorite still.

    And still no appointment

Moyes being sat next to Kenwright at the Bellew fight has put the wind up a few lol.

Moshiri was in Milan at the CL final on Saturday where he was supposedly meeting Emery beforehand.

I hope it's concluded in the next few days, as the new man needs the chance to speak to the players before they go off to France.

Who cares about Moyes, he was at the boxing with a friend. Bill has no clout or if he did Bobby would still be in charge as he backed Moyes through the tough days.

Steve Bruce is considering his future and so is Simione.......

So who would be favorite for Athletico and Everton?
