I particularly liked how Jak looked completely puzzled as to how to order his beer in.... as this is normally a servant's role.
Did Ipswich touch the ball from kick off to Perez scoring? I wasn't particularly looking out for that but I don't think they did. Can't remember off the top of my head ever seeing that before.
What a day. Bacon sarnies and a can of coke to start off with for brekkie. Then off to the Earl to meet up with Not606s very own Royle Family, Albert, Nev, Trev and Jak..... Thought it was bit unfair that I had to run up the hill, when Jak was being given carried up by his servants....but, why have them if you can't use them. Good win to cap matters off...
It's looking like they will go down quicker than a pennywell tart on a tramp with a bag if cheesy chips.
A mate of mine who is SAFC daft is convinced Fat Sham will once again ride to their rescue. If they employed him after he dumped them and then shamefully got himself sacked by England they they will become the laughing stock. The same mate said they should 'sort a plane and banner' out to let Sam know he is needed at the next home game.... for christ's sake....
That's unfair. I spent my formative years in Yorkshire. Buying a round is not something that comes naturally.
No they didnt. Think thats also the first time ever Newcastle have kept possesion for a whole minute as well.
And they aren't already? It would be a PR disaster, but there is a logic to it, as he weighed in at the same stage last year and kept them up. If they have any decency though, they'll give Moyes time.
Fat Sam has ruined his reputation by listening to dubious dirty deals. He surely wouldnt want to get involved in another.
Plenty of them want him back.....I imagine plenty don't as well. Those that want him back must have a very, very, very short memory.
Doesn't necessarily guarantee success though does it - Villa spent well over £50m in the summer and look at how they're doing. The simple fact is the players we sold in the summer brought in nearly £90m, we haven't spent anything even close to that in terms of the players we brought in.
By all accounts the 3,000 Townies who went on Saturday kept singing all the way through to the end and both sets of fans gave big respect to Sir Bobby. Always liked the Magpies and it will be a real party atmosphere when you come and visit us at Portman Road for the return fixture. I wIll always remember the day we both paid tribute to the great man at our place. The Mags are a class act.
Based entirely on the fact that they were one of the Premiership teams in my first Panini sticker Album, I will always think of Ipswich as a 'true premiership' club and wish them well accordingly. Good luck for the rest of the season!
I like Ipswich. They have a history of playing good football. They have had some iconic players down the years too. John Wark, Ian Marshall, Butcher, Osman, Mariner. Fair few links between the clubs too with Mathie, Kuqi, Dyer, Murphy, Bramble, Colback, Ambrose, Chopra, Best to name but a few. Robson being the strongest link of all. I still think giving them 5m for Titus was him trying to help out his old club Bastards.
As a boy I had a 'second team' and it was Ipswich. I guess I liked them because they were underdogs near the top of the league, played great football, had Bobby Robson as manager and, finally, at the time of their greatest years (1977-82) NUFC were having their worst years. Bobby left Ipswich at the same time KK arrived at Newcastle and, well, that was it for them. I'll always wish the club well.
