Sounds really dismal on the radio, but if we can grab a scrappy win today while resting half the team it will be a real result.
On the bright side, whatever happens on Tuesday, at least we know he is taking it seriously, which is a refreshing change.
just got back got to say we awful but not half as bad as the cheating ****ing bastard ref - - ****ing joke - never a corner in a million years you cheating lump of **** I haven't started to calm down it will take some doing after watching that performance by the officials we have to beat 2 teams every week the cheating bastard twats
We were off form but Blackburn weren't better than us. We had chances to win it or at least get a point and Ritchie should have buried the chance in the second half. Rafa was too slow to make changes and didn't get it right. Got to give Blackburn credit though for having a good game plan and sticking to it. They crowded us on the ball, in front of their back four and on the wings in particular. Stopped us playing for the most part. We were going to lose eventually, especially with half the first team changed, but if it means we have our best team out on Tuesday and get through to a semi final I'll take today's result.
He got a couple of things wrong but I have seen far, far worse. Have to say, mind, that I can't believe their keeper didn't get booked for time wasting. The ref seemed completely oblivious, although he did add a fair amount of time at the end.
Not a great result, it was going to happen sooner or later and to be honest it's going to happen again before this season is done and dusted. It would have been really good to have put even more distance between us and the chasing pack. Dust yourselves off lads and focus on the cup match. In Rafa we trust, you just can't win them all.
I completely missed what happened to Gamez. I assume a concussion? Didn't really think he did much while he was on. He's no Paul Dummet. I was disappointed in Atsu. He's played better than that in than he past. His step over/trip over ****e near the end was comical. Haydon was below par too. And Perez wants a kick up his fanny. He doesn't look interested half the time.
don't know who their player was but he jumped for the ball with Gamez and went over the top of as he came down he arm was around Gamez's neck dragging him down with him, funny enough neither assistant nor ref thought it was a foul and allowed the play to continue, Gamez had signalled straight away that he was in trouble also the Blackburn player signalled and the assistant just stood watching as the play continued you got to question the sanity of the officials - they are miked up and the assistant did nothing to attract the ref's attention also notice while the medics were on the pitch , not once did the ref go over anywhere near to enquire how Gamez was
most of the time added was for the injury to Gamez the ref spoke to their goalkeeper on 4 occasions telling him to hurry up and went to see him once when he was receiving treatment or something didn't see what the delay was for as I sit at the opposite side Wasn't Darlow book for wasting time at Preston ?? we see this week in week out when it's against us never seen an opposition goalkeeper booked holding onto the ball for 13 seconds in the first half yet the ref not interested
Not many of our players turned up. Hope Gamez is OK, but his performance was pants. Mitrovic's lack of pace and mobility was glaring. He does 25% of the running of Gayle. I guess that Tuesday took our mind off our game plan today. And Blackburn took one of their two chances.
Far too negative we didn't deserve to lose mate There's another team on the pitch and considering their position I think you have to say well done to Blackburn
