Okay.. it was either a picture of Tony Blackburn (a no go area) or another subtle dig at the Obese One. please log in to view this image Blackburn Rovers (h) The Magpies are next in home Championship action when Owen Coyle's Rovers arrive for an old-fashioned 3pm kick-off on Saturday. Tickets are on public sale.NUFC: Rolando Aarons is the only long-term absentee, with Daryl Murphy, Massadio Haidara and Achraf Lazaar all featuring for the reserves on Monday. Rob Elliot and Jesus Gamez are back in training, as is Cheick Tiote - although he's not featured in a squad since September. The availability of Jonjo Shelvey will be dictated by the outcome of the hearing into his misconduct charge. No date has yet been set for that to take place. Shelvey, Paul Dummett and Jack Colback all have four yellow cards and will incur an automatic one match suspension if they pick up a fifth against Blackburn Rovers or Hull City on Tuesday evening. BRFC: Former Magpie Danny Guthrie missed Blackburn's 3-2 home victory over Brentford last weekend due to injury but could return at Gallowgate. Hope Akpan is available after suspension but there are doubts over Gordon Greer, Scott Wharton, Tommie Hoban, Elliott Ward and Marvin Emnes. Rovers have won just once on their travels this season: a 2-1 success at Derby County. Six away days ended in defeats at Wigan Athletic, Cardiff City, Leeds United, Birmingham City, Bristol City and Aston Villa. Their sole other point on the road was from a 1-1 draw at QPR. This is far better than Albert's useless attempts at match day threa... wait... what's that about fatboy?
We'll easily win this as they're now without their defensive colossus Grant Hanley, lol. They've had a few decent results lately, but mainly defeats, can't see this being a problem, confident enough to stick it in the accumulator.
Hopefully we don't get complacent for this one. Should have plenty enough to beat them if not. Going with a 3-0 win.
Fat burners are bullshit Get out and run fast until you can't run Anymore Do this several times a day
I once ran after the ice-cream van. Almost made all the way to the end of my driveway before I collapsed.
Looking at it, we do actually have a lot of reason to hate Blackburn: - David Speedie getting away with assault in 92 and being allowed to stay on the field and get a hat trick - Roy Wegerly putting us out the FA in the last second in 93 - Fenton's double in 96 that basically ended our title hopes - them getting Shearers best years - Peterson's handball being allowed in 05 Probably more, but that's quite a list as it is....still if we were going to wish them bad luck, they've had an absolute **** tonne of it in the last 5 years, so it looks like any karma has been delay out now lol.
I just cast my mind back a bit and realised there were more than a few incidents to make me hateful of Blackburn....tbf though these were all in the early to mid 90s when we were competing against them at the top, since then we've become distinctly average and they've been ripped apart. It's a dislike for club only too, all the Blackburn fans I've met have been totally sound, no dicks like mackems, spurs etc
Selling us Souness. I seem to recall he was on the verge of being sacked by Blackburn until we managed to persuade them to allow him to come to us...for a fee!!! One of the very worst managers in my view Newcastle have ever had.
Good shout ..Souness is worth getting up an hour early..just to have the time to fit in all the hate that needs to be sent his way I agree with the sentiment ..just think you are being a tad reserved and understated, mind (Bon chance tonight too )
Blackburn won their last game and maybe have found some form. We often get teams defending deep and playing counter attack against us at home so it could be quite a tough game, plus you have to suppose we are due a defeat at some point on the law of averages. Complacency could creep in and we can't win every game. 4-0 to the lads.
