Congratulations to Forest Green Rovers on achieving football league status today! http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39850996 Welcome to the league boys! A fantastic achievement!!!
Well done indeed and congratulations to the minnows entering the minefield that is the football league.
yes well done, but you look at some of the teams in the national lge and with automatic promotion, its league div 5 by any other name.
Smallest settlement ever to host a League Football Team I heard. Nailsworth population is 5,800 approx. Ground capacity 5,100
That is a fantastic achievement, well done FGR I may take a game in or two, it is just as quick for me to get there as to AG.
A few years back it was made easier for "non league" teams to get into the top 4 leagues, was it Bath city? at onetime won the division but failed due poor ground/not in spec ground may have been someone else! so now teams in the "5th division" have to have a ground suitable for "promotion, flood lights etc etc etc and toilets with cisterns and chains rather than hedge or spades!
Yeah a stadium being made out of wood next to the M5 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-eng...62414/forest-green-stadium-to-be-made-of-wood
Wow, that looks nice, and the 5000 residents of Nailsworth should have plenty of room in it. Not sure about making it out of wood though - both a rot and fire hazard. Remember Bradford. Also to be truly 'green' shouldn't they make it from stone, rather than killing some trees?
