Do managers hold shirts? I would expect it to be a picture of him at a desk, with Sir Les and probably Gareth as well.
The state Villa were in at the time, you could have had a combo of Wenger/Mourinho/Shankley in charge in their prime and it would have failed.
It would suit Under Armour to be visible when our new manager is announced...would get more coverage than just an announcement of a new kit deal.
Clearly there are a few very tense people on here. It would have been "nice" to have unveiled a new manager with a history of doing well, in the premier league, but even experienced EPL managers can't guarantee continued success and/or improvement. Plus they would, in all likelihood, want to do things their way, (Pellegrini maybe?) which would take us back to the days when every new manager changed our style of play, meaning constant change. The board, having made it's decision, now need to support the new manager, and ensure that any other player sales are limited to the level they had planned for, had Koeman stayed. There must be a danger of some players thinking, like the fans, "Who?", and there will also be a danger of agents interpreting this as a means of unsettling their client, and agitating for a move. The board really mustn't allow that to happen. A lot has been said about the "Southampton Way", which enables smooth transition from one manager to the next. This may be the biggest test of how well this system actually works......or not. I hope we, as a club, don't start to bring in too many French players en masse, simply because Pardew went down that rue, when at Newcastle, and look where Newcastle are now.
I am getting old and a bit concerned about my plumbing, any of you experts know if this is a possible solution?
Tell me this, is Sammy Lee definitely leaving? I like aul Sammy Love the exuberance of his celebrations and by all accounts, he seems a coach who is highly thought of.
Yeh Sammy is the coach. Puel will want his own assistant understandably but I don't see why that would dislodge Lee.
