That's a given. Obviously he won stuff at Chelsea but he strikes me as a player about to go into decline who wasn't particularly great to begin with, by your standards. Could be wrong and he could indeed be that missing piece of the puzzle that helps get the best out of Pogba but I don't honestly see it happening.
What matters is he's better than what we had, which he definitely is because we only have Carrick who is experienced in there and he's nearly 70. He's just turned 29 so I'd imagine he's about to peak, rather than enter into a decline.
Considering, He only had 45 minutes for us last week, I thought he was superb last night, We've missed having a defensive midfielder in our team for the last couple of years, I'm glad we got him.
He did well, it'll be very rare that he has to face the likes of Kroos, Modric and Isco. Fellaini, Pogba and Matic is about as physical as it gets in midfield so don't be surprised to see Jose revert to that a few times this season.
