Leicester City have confirmed the signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Neil Danns on a three-year contract. Danns was wanted by the Old Firm duo of Rangers and Celtic, as well as a host of English clubs, but Leicester stole a march to sign the player. He passed a medical and agreed terms at the Walkers Stadium, and will officially join his new club on 1 July. The Foxes' football director Andrew Neville said: "Neil is a player that has drawn a lot of interest due to his performances in recent seasons so we are delighted that he has chosen Leicester City for the next stage of his career. "Sven and his staff were very impressed with him last season and his quality and versatility will add considerable strength to the squad." The 28-year-old started his career at Blackburn Rovers. He came to prominence at Colchester, and moved on to Birmingham City. Since 2008 he has been a key member of the Eagles squad.
