had it not been reposted on here how many of us would actually have seen it not me 9s is such a bad boy
For any faults Ned might have he has been here through thick and thin, the good, the bad and the down right ugly and has never been any problem. He's been loyal to this club and could easily have manufactured a move elsewhere but has stuck with us. He may not be Lionel Messi but he is 100% a good egg.
Agree the Video is unnecessary and not what WE need as a club. Ned is indeed a good sort but I for one would like to see him rested...he is not a good footballer and I was more comfortable on the ball when I was 9 and now when Im 54. He has looked dodgy in games when everyone else seemed calm and collected. We are short in the centre back department but I would prefer him as back up but Olly loves him. When OLLY can pick a more skilled good sort over another we will be the team he and we all want.....
If he plays lynch and Hall...with Perch in front...they we will have enough footage for several videos
Fully agree. How can the person compiling this be called a "fan". The word "hater" comes more to mind. I think we should stop discussing it and take this thread down. Such discussions may only glorify such "hater-fans". I don't need it and don't want it.
Thought the vid was too short, it missed all the occasions Ned lets the ball bounce when he should head into next week. Man creates video to display the evidence of his position, Should we A) Discuss the various merits of the material and asses it based on our own experiences or B) Attack the poster and and virtue signal to others how unacceptable it is to criticise one of our own. Is this an echo chamber or a forum? Ned stinks, has for years, not going to improve now. Also shouldn't be captain. Definitely nothing to discuss here is there. FFS Sorry I'm not as Holy as others.
"The best skipper I have had as a professional" Conor Washington speaking on the latest QPR podcast on the subject of Ned - http://www.west12media.co.uk/qprpod/
You omitted that he is outmuscled consistently by far less impressive physiques. Loyalty? Who would pay the wages he's on with us for such little return? The last one left of that nightmare week of mad buying - cannot pass, cannot cajole, cannot command - is probably a very nice man - that's not what we need as a captain and center back. Far better center backs all over Europe, just because England cant produce them doesn't mean we cant procure them from elsewhere. Haven't seen the videos but if it were honest productions, I know which one would be the lengnthier.
Drogba speaking in a shop "Terry was the worst c.... I ever encountered but I loved the silverware" Messi at a kebab house "F... I miss the WAN... Puyol, these new guys are nice guys but....." Soundbites are worth f all, just like Ned's passing either under pressure or with masses of space and time. I will never get how he has had such a lucrative career on the basis of such little talent or determination.
Do you trust an absolutely meaningless stat with no context rather than the evidence your eyesight provides?
But did you even bother to listen to the podcast? Evidently genuine opinion from someone who plays with and knows the man and whose evidence suggests that there is much more to him than perhaps we care to see or understand. But to go back to the original point about this post. Is it your opinion that the video is acceptable? Ultimately we (including myself) are all armchair critics, which is easy and sometimes offers the opportunity to take cheap shots from behind our keyboards.
Well at least they are real statistics... which makes them slightly less meaningless than this... "Drogba speaking in a shop "Terry was the worst c.... I ever encountered but I loved the silverware" Messi at a kebab house "F... I miss the WAN... Puyol, these new guys are nice guys but....."
But people are discussing it... you are making your point and other making theirs. On another note, it's interesting how accusations of 'virtue signalling' have become the fashionable alternative to a direct ad hominem attack... it suggests the 'signaller' doesn't actually believe what they are saying, but are just posturing to appear good. So to clear up any misconceptions - I think what the video creator did was a ****ty and low attack - and if it pleases you (or anyone else) to think I'm doing it to appear 'good' in your (or anyone else's) eyes, so be it.
No, I absolutely don't think that the video is acceptable - I think it's a waste of someone's energy to concentrate on the negative in that way and make public. On a footballing note, I have seen more than enough to form my own opinion that this person is not up to (and never has been) the level that is required to justify the wages that he has and is on. It is also of my opinion that Ned holds a position that is vital in any team, both positionally and from the captaincy perspective. I have been quite clear in my thoughts as to why this is - did I bother to listen to Washington's podcast? - no. Does Mr. Onouha come accross as a thoroughly nice individual? - Not one scintilla of doubt, do I need Washington's opinion on this to lead my own? - no. Does this add up to a player that for all the sum parts has provided the club with Value for money? - In my opinion, I'm afraid not.
