A QPR fan has gone and made a video highlighting his mistakes this season. Yeah that will help him pal. I'm not one of his biggest fans but bloody hell. This will probably get shown to him and I can't see it doing his confidence any good.
I have to say I think we'll continue to struggle at the back with him in the team but, as you say, this video is the last thing he needs...
Unfortunately the latest in a long line of scapegoats....... Judging by the photo on his twitter link I'd say that the boy who did the video is bored already during half term.......
To be honest, if a football manager isn't already using footage like this to try and show his players where they're making costly mistakes then the manager is not particularly competent in my opinion. I would hope that the better players are examining this stuff themselves in order to improve. Don't rate Ned and this video shows why.
There is no justification for this - none. No player ever got better by being abused, bullied or publicly humiliated. It saddens me so many people on Twitter seem ok with this - it's really not terribly supportive from someone who identifies themselves as a fan
If a Fulham fan did that it would be seen as the perfect way to undermine our player's confidence. Just as anyone can put together a video of all the good moments, they can do the same for the bad bits. It just seems a bit pathetic to me. They said on commentry about a month ago that Olly had told Washington to watch all his goals non stop. Does anyone think that some sort of negative reinforcement would have helped in the same way? I like Ned. He makes mistakes as they all do but he seems genuine and has done well despite being pushed into problem positions (I think there was a point where him and Dunne looked formidable as a CB partnership) although I can understand debates about the captain's armband.
What a prick. He could just as easily put together one with his goals, saving tackles, saving headers, interceptions, and runs. That would have been more productive.
This is stupid and unnecessary....and is no help to the team... When we concede...obviously there was always something that a defender could have done. If...if ...if.... Ollie will be a hero if he keeps Ned going through this...
most of the comments i read on here about him are negative if there is to be an honest appraisel of what he brings to the team then he should be shown stuff like this along with videos of when he gets things right
I like Ned. He's not the best with the ball at his feet but I always think our defence is stronger with him in it. Plus he is one of the few defenders we have who can go up the other end and score a goal or two.
Completely unnecessary to share that video. Personally, I don't rate Onouha, he's too uncomfortable with the ball at his feet and isn't dominant enough in the air for my liking, but anyone who pulls on the jersey, and conducts himself well, deserves the full backing from the fans. He can't be accused of not conducting himself professionally. Agree with those who've stated this does no good whatsoever, and certainly doesn't paint us, as fans, in a good light.
It does not really work like that, does it? Slagging someone off and then saying nice things about them does not cancel out the original negativity. I can cut him some slack for being young but it was still pretty stupid.
Are the players not allowed to be criticized now Boswanka pulled on the jersey Swp pulled it on too If he ever read here some weeks he would want to top himself
Players get criticised all the time in forums and I do it because I have an opinion and this is the place we air those opinions. This video is clearly intended as a much more unpleasant attack and is a very public criticism of a player that has only demonstrated a commitment to the club and has honoured the contract the club awarded him. Are you really are comparing Ned with Bosingwa? I really don't think that is a fair comparison but, in response to your point, I just don't think the public humiliation of an individual in this manner is acceptable for someone who claims to be a fan.
Absolutely...correct. There is line to be drawn between criticism and public humiliation..that video crossed the line. As I said before...95-99% of goals we have/will concede could have been stopped by someone ( nearly all by defenders). The better defenders make more stops than poor defenders....but everyone could be stopped..... Lets just get on with supporting them not out and out humiliating our players. Let alone the really decent honest ones, who give 100% every much ....each to their own ability on the day End of rant...Valentine days G and T here I come
