No idea how to pronounce it, but he's a tough bastard - just what we need in midfield - http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ted-want-to-sign-radja-nainggolan-this-summer
I'd say more he's at his peak rather than being old. He's probably been improving while building his career until now.
He's 29, scored 11 this season from central midfield, plus he's a hard-tackling son of a bitch. Just what we need. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/radja-nainggolan/profil/spieler/41982
He's had a great season with Roma, he's been their best player this season. He's more of a powerhouse type midfield player. He's not the tallest but he makes up for it as he's very strong and aggressive. He also has a real eye for goal, especially from long range. I'm sure he's scored a few more than 11 aswell, he seems to score most weeks for them. I think he'd be a good signing, only negative with him is his age. He relys so much on his work rate being a box to box midfield player, that I wonder how we'll he'd cope with the physical demands of the PL coming to us so late in his career.
That's the dilemma with that type of player, they rarely develop that tough mentality until at the peak of their game. 29 isn't that bad if we mange to get 3 seasons out of him - it would help Pogba immensely to have his brawn in midfield. With Herrera the brains it would make a fantastic nucleus for a 4-3-3.
He has been the subject of bids for years - most notably Chelsea and Man City the last couple of years and has always rejected them saying he is settled in Rome. His team mate Kevin Strootman however is a player that could leave and would suit you to a tee - is basically a younger Carrick http://metro.co.uk/2017/03/07/manch...ansfer-as-perfect-paul-pogba-partner-6493121/
LVG was after Strootman, but trust me when I say this Naingolan is better than Strootman. Strootman is decent but Naingolan is a lot better. Don't compare Strootman to Carrick either, Carrick has been the best holding midfield player in the whole of Europe for years. I'm glad the England team has suffered for so long as in all honesty they and their managers have deserved it. Some of the ****e over the last decade that has been picked over Carrick I just cannot understand.
It's hard to think of a player who has been more under rated than Carrick, sadly most just look at the flash/ fast or noisy and completely miss someone who is actually the best at doing their job.
