It's 59 years ago today since the tragedy happened, What I'd like to know is, Are there any Manchester United or non Manchester United fans on here that saw that side, how good were they, and also, How good was Duncan Edwards as well. R.I.P.
Not old enough Matth. Those who have seen Edwards play say he was an exceptional talent, but they are/were the lucky few. So good in fact that many put him in their all time United XI.
I can see how my original post might have been taken the wrong way and for anyone who might have taken it the wrong way , I apologize ... R.I.P
And as has been said in previous years, we generally don't feel the need to. Or to measure any remembrance with posts. Plenty generally tip their hat by reading it and move on.
He also does one every year. I changed my sig pic to the Busby Babes for a couple of days then changed it back, I definitely don't need this sort of thing to validate it as I've been commemorating it in my own way since I can remember. As for the original question, I'll answer the same as I do every year. My dad saw them play a good few times. He says Edwards was brilliant but what has always stuck in my mind is how he raves about Roger Byrne. Superb player, captain for both United and England and left back. As a result I always wonder how good that bloke was.
Fair enough Roofer. Perhaps because it was coming from you, the cynic in me just saw the cynic in you. Only posted to say this, will leave it now
