I heard that too! AND, Gaddafi's son Saadi is soon to be announced as the new left back. Maintaining the Watford Way - he should fit in well after spending the bulk of his career on the extreme right.
Anyway Baz in his first interview claimed it was him and the doctor not some other backers. Could this be ther truth or just a play on words. Anyway for an insight into the culture go to stanmore synagogue website. As you'll see if you try any links that would be open in the normal world the mindset with these folks is different.
I don't really believe the Russos are behind the bid - but someone or some entity is. Baz simply does not and cannot have the cash himself - going from being a bankrupt 4 years ago to having several millions to throw at a football club 4 years later - no. So if it is not his money he has got someone to put it up - now that may be family, City friends or someone else. No reason the Russos would not use a front man as LA would never knowingly sell to them so they would be forced into some deception. Why choose Baz? - well if he is to disappear once the deal is properly done it would not matter who they used.
I think Mr B is here for a while , Nothing has changed we still need new investment, instead of a wealthy major shareholder we have Mr B
He can do it - by pure bad management - if the club ends up bankrupt do you think he will care who it reverts to? He has put several other companies into liquidation - you seem to have faith that he CAN manage money. I have seen no evidence of that. Would you sell your prize asset to a former bankrupt who has given not one example of success in his business life?
And why should you expect that? 'Prized asset' or no - if you're selling it, it's because you no longer want it/no longer need it/need the money - whatever. So, personally, I'm not sure that any such proof is relevant. As long as the buyer stumps up the readies...........
After yesterdays letter to the WO, I have been reading around some other sites to this one and there seems to be quite a change in attitude to Mr. B. Prior to his response there was a heavy degree of doubt about letting him loose with the club, but there has been a marked change in the postings. Maybe it is a case that he has succeeded with his bid and it is too late to make any difference, but now more than 50% of fans are saying let's wait and see if he comes up with anything good. The big question still remains though: Is he a front man?
BB what about if your circumstances changed and you were going back to Oz ,you had a dog that you couldnt take with you!,wouldnt you want to know the dog would be going to good owners! Not that I am comparing WFC to an old dog! Frenchie I think the shift in attitude is due to the fact it is a done deal and we are stuck with him!! there is nothing we can do but watch and wait!
Dubious analogy norway - if I were in that position, I'd either wait until said faithful hound died, give him away to a good home or do a 'Mourinho' and smuggle him back!
Real point I was (badly) trying to make was not that the previous owners necessarily care too much about their Prize asset (- but if it falls back to them as bond holders then perhaps they would) - but that Baz looks incompetent enough to put us into Admin whether he gains from it or not.
