At least St Alan would have nutted her there and then instead of pussy footing around threatening a slap.
Aye I mentioned this on the Warm Glow. The gift that just keeps on giving. It was all so predictable and why I was staunchly against him coming here when some thought it a good idea. He is a negative manager. Even allowing for the lack of a budget, nobody can possibly think he has made best use of what he had. My major concern is that Short uses this as an excuse to bullet him. It must be tempting as he could avoid compo. So i don't think we should be encouraging this by adding to the PC storm. I want us to fight for David. We need him to stay there. With that in mind... He is clearly joking with her and she took it as such. He has had to apologise now (which to be honest is a bit pathetic) Some feel there is a slightly condescending sinister angle to it. Some are even saying sexist. Personally I think it is just about controlling the media which most managers try to. Lets face it the media are a bunch of vultures who twist things and are constantly asking pointless questions to ramp up pressure and get a rise. What sort of stupid question is "do you feel under more pressure because Short is in the stand?". It just a blatant attempt to try and get a rise etc. Hate our media. I think Moyes deserves our support, smelly mackem or not.
I would never publicly support Moyes, however privately he's becoming a hero of mine because he's steering the unwashed towards their rightful position, oblivion.
I'm concerned. This happened two weeks ago. It wreaks of Ellis having released this to the press in order to drum up a campaign where he can say "Sorry David but your behaviour has left me with no choice." We need Moyes in his rightful seat for many years. Or at least until they are in League 2.
Ha, as I was constructing a response to this thread I read this and thought "nope, that pretty much nails it for me". Utterly preposterous that such an innocuous tongue in cheek comment has these feminazi's up in arms. He should have signed off properly, mind, Inspector Monkfish style.
Sounds more like the "Professionally Offended" looking for a new bandwagon to jump on to me But fair play to Moyes - he is doing a cracking job otherwise..........
No, no, I don't mean the oblivion of the Championship I mean the oblivion of ending up a Sunday league side.
Surprised the SAFC board haven't disposed of his services. Based on football, of course, since this error of judgement is a storm in a tea cup at worst and being blown waaaay out of proportion.
