Couldn't help myself. Usually don't comment about ex players but with Moussa I'm happy to make an exception. http://www.squawka.com/news/terribl...act-to-moussa-sissokos-display-at-gent/904087 £30M Levy the hard negotiator
No surprise is it, put enough effort in to get his move and has put his feet up, well rid thank you Spuds for being dumb enough.
Whatever you think of Ashley, you've got to give him credit for the Sissoko deal. He must have been laughing his sagging chubby tits off.
con artist . just everything you do not want in a footballer.. no skill , or natural ball sense either with or without the ball ... get him into a corner he is fooked . frustrating to watch ... just a runner with strength thats all ..when he can be bothered ..yous know the score ... 30 mil ..well think the person who wanted him at spurs . needs a new job outside of football
I'm surprised that now Tottenham aren't in the Champions League he hasn't been speaking to the French press about his love for Arsenal. Maybe if Spurs don't finish top 4 he might in the summer.
It's hilarious. We all warned them he was a snake oil merchant. They shouldn't be surprised by his lack of ability and attitude
Sissoko is a classic example of all that is wrong with the modern game. He's had his ego stroked from an early age and people have managed to instill in him this mistaken belief that he is actually a top player and should be playing in the Champions League. There is no doubting that Moussa has some ability when he chooses to use it. The trouble is, he doesn't have the consistency to be anything more than mediocre. We found that out to our cost for a few seasons. Spurs knew what they were buying when they wasted £30 million on the tool. I have no sympathy.
But that in part is the puzzling point. Spurs should have known what they were buying before paying £30M. How can 50,000+ Geordies know but 2 or 3 top people at Spuds who no doubt are paid a relative fortune to do their job, not know? Also, how can I get a job like that? Can I sue my Careers Teacher?
They obviously ignored his time with us and made their decision based on the Euro's. Sissoko then decided to turn up to get his 'big' move. Awful player and at 27 he will never improve.
Bump Yes, he's giving interviews in France again Moussa Sissoko speaking to L’Equipe: “I would like him (Mauricio Pochettino) to communicate better. “I want a completely honest conversation to see what they (Tottenham) plan to do, what they are seeing in terms of my future. “From that moment on, everything will be clearer in my head. “You can never be sure of anything and once again, what I want is for everything to be clear. “If the manager is no longer counting on me, if he thinks that other players are better, then he should say it. “The idea is for it to be clear very early so that if I need to leave, my agent avn do good work. “Even if everyone knows that I prefer England, I have never closed the door to any other league. “We will see what offers there are and Ligue 1 continues to be attractive – we have seen this season with PSG and Monaco then also teams like Nice, Lyon and Marseille. “We’ll analyse everything and try to make the best choice." And they call us delusional.
Physically he is impressive but he's limited technically and his work ethic is abysmal. Spurs fluffed their lines paying a huge sum of money to get him but I can't complain as a Newcastle united fan one bit.
I don't know what he's problem is, he's getting paid a fook load of money to sit on the bench and tail ride Tottenham's success, yeah they didn't win anything this year, but they are competing and in CL which is what he always b1tched about. If he had started and played every 90 mins for spurs he would moan about be exhausted!
Only because punters are unimaginative and lazy. We don't want him back, he wont want to come back here and I cannot see Levy agreeing to sell him at a reduced rate back to us. My understanding is that we're getting £6m a year for him, so currently there's £24m still outstanding and at the end of the summer £18m. There's no way we'd agree to £18m so effectively if we agreed (for instance) £15m Tottenham would have to pay us an extra few million pounds for us to take him. Can you see Levy agreeing to that? I can't.
