Technically should have been disallowed as Okazaki isn't allowed into the box until the ball leaves the area
so we host you next in the cup, i fear your yungens will be humiliated considering your 1st team was fortunate to hold us to a draw in the lge.
Thats the thing, no doubt you will play a weakened side due to other priorities so it could be a real hiding for your c team, will poch survive a 12-0 beating? joking aside theres some great ties next round.
Mamadou Sakho's future takes on a distinctly Balotelli look: "Now it's three weeks since I am fit to play games.I finish all my rehabilitation work. They don't want me to play also with second team lol! Why I don't know. I accept my situation but I can't accept the lie… The fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support." Another dodgy bit of business goes pear shaped. A bit like Sakho without his fat burner.
Meanwhile, Balotelli has become the first player to score 4 goals in his first two Ligue 1 games, apparently. He's good when he wants to be.
Swansea 1 v 2 'Pool Swans cheated of a point, with 'Pool being gifted with the softest of penalties, yet again, and Klopp dancing like an utter spazmoid on the touchline. I don't know about you lads, but it turned my stomach to watch. I think the lesser teams have got to watch this and know that they must not give these biased and incompetent refs the opportunity to keep gifting penalties to 'Pool. We've seen this before, in previous seasons, where refs have systematically influenced games in 'Pool's favour to try to gift them a top 4 place. Fortunately, 'Pool are so incompetent that they'll never win the title, but they are, at best, a top 7 side and shouldn't be beating teams like Swansea. Refs know this, and so gift them late penalty winners, when they know it's practically impossible for teams to reply. This has been a shameful day for football and for the FA.
Translation: boohoo my butthurts the pool are going to finish above us and ill have to wetwipe on another bet in front of the lads... again
That penalty was a joke though, there was no contact apart from half a hand on the back of Firmino and he threw himself to the floor, a blatant dive, and predictably the referee couldn`t wait to award Pool a penalty. Most referees do tend to give the Mousers the benefit of doubt though, hence the long succession of dodgy penalties and favourable decisions going in their favour.
If you watch if closely, there is minimal contact from the defender and Cheatino actually kicks the ground and maybe even his own foot before pirouetting to the ground. It does look like a foul and a penalty but is in fact very clever from Cheatino, no surprise the referee gave it though but you can be sure it wouldnt have been given if it was in the Pool penalty area. I hope Spurs can enjoy some similar good fortune this season, but seeing as referees only tend to give a certain select few clubs the benefit of doubt with big game changing decisions, I won`t be holding my breath.
Klopp 'works' the officials very effectively. He rants and showboats for all he's worth. Since Mourinho went 'troppo' and Ferguson retired, I would say he is the best in the PL at getting decisions out of officials. Mauricio Pochettino has zero skills in such dark arts as he has zero interest in having a conspicuous press profile. Whilst I prefer someone who is honourable and decent rather than the hysterical persecution nonsense from Klopp, Mourinho and Ferguson, I would say that it is a potential weakness in our quest for honours. Clubs who pressure officials get decisions, it's as simple as that.
I would say you reap what you sow. For all of Diverpool 2013-14, they did not win the PL, had a dire CL campaign and more wilderness years as the reality of Brenton was revealed.
