Makes a change to ask who was the best in a great display, as opposed to who was the ****est im a crap display.

Kone was back to his best and dominiated Benteke , but Oviedo snuffed Zaha out and anything else trying to get in down our left. Proper LB/WB display. He triggered both Fefoes goals by fine tackling and a swift pass. Take note glue-boy, thanks for the cash, Sam.

Went with kone. Was a rock at the back for us yesterday, being forced to play with lescott too which I doubt they've had much training time together but that didn't matter.

Could have easily gone with N'dong and others. They were superb.

If Rodwell had played the 90 mins, he would have been right up there.

I'd go for N'Dong, though. They say games are won in midfield and he was outstanding, yesterday.

Yup it's nice to find this hard as it was an excellent team performance but our new left back in his first game against a guy with a lot of pace and skill was fantastic

I only watched the highlights so not gonna say who was motm but it looked like Adnan and JD were in good sync yesterday. Sublime vision and awareness from both for JD's 2nd goal.

    Kone for me.

Bossed Benteke, clean sheet and a the opening goal.

Could have gone to 2/3 others though.

I thought they played really well collectively as a team but the stand outs for me were Oviedo, N'Dong, Kone & Larsson, although you can't really take anything away from Defoe either. He hardly saw the ball, but when he did he punished them.

    Superb display by everyone.

Agreed mate, but try and watch the extended highlights and Oviedo has Zaha in his pocket all day long. Palace tried to channel everything through Zaha, but Oviedo had his measure and i really can't understand why Palace didn't change tactics, it was that obvious mate.

I'm going with the "one swallow" analogy but it was an impressive debut from Oviedo. Looks a very good left back and we got him and Gibson for half of van Aanholt (and they're the same age too!)

Lots to pick from but I'll go with Kone. Solid as a rock and got the first goal to kick things off.

I'm glad we didn't sell him like, he's a very important player for us.

Larsson for me for the cruncher on Cabaye that forced him out of the game. With him Palace are ordinary, without him they were clueless. If not for that I would have gone for Oviedo, he snuffed out Zaha and even had time and space to get us moving quicker.
