An eyewitness told LBC radio what he saw tonight. The taxi driver said: "A van came from London Bridge itself, went between the traffic light system and rammed it towards the steps. It knocked loads of people down. "Then three men got out with long blades, 12 inches long and went randomly along Borough High Street stabbing people at random." Horrific!
Just had to text one of my staff to make sure he's ok - lives on Borough High St Was in London Bridge area myself last Sat night
This can't be allowed to continue. The security services will be working hard begins the scenes, if known faces arent already having their front doors kicked in then they damn well should in the near future.
It should be a criminal offence punishable with long sentences to even tacitly show support for ISIS. These cowardly pigs are allowed to walk round places like Luton and Leicester waving ISIS flags ffs and often the police guard them.
I think they are trying pretty hard already. The Police will kick down any doors they need to but I doubt they even know who has done this at the moment. They will do what they always do but the simple fact is stopping these things from ever happening is almost impossible.
Pretty much what they are already doing. I don't know what else they can do. I'd give the counter terrorism Police and security services more resources if they want it. If there are too many leads to follow up (as suggested with the Manchester bomber tip offs) then they obviously do need more resources. They possibly need a better way of tracking people who may have gone to IS territory but I don't know how that would work.
Personally I am surprised nobody had thought to stick concrete crash barriers along the length of every bridge in London and major cities in the UK, after the Westminster attacks. It would have helped.
I think they should be prosecuted if they are breaking laws although I imagine the Police guarding them is more trying to stop riots breaking out during demonstrations? More than likely there would be more terrorists if you go 'double-tapping' people in the head.
