MoPo delusion: Spurs have history of United and Liverpool, bigger than Arsenal

There's no doubting that Chelsea are bigger than the Spuds. Chelsea stand on the cusp of a 6th 1st division/premier league title while the sad Spuds have been waiting for 55 +years for Their third. Last time I looked that were still waiting for a champions league title too

We've won five league cups to their four but they have won one more FA Cup but then they are a traditionally a cup side.

There was a time when it could be said that they were a bigger side but you would have to time travel back to 1963. During a recent Twitter poll Chelsea polled 62% with the hapless Spuds on 38%.

Clearly we have the older Spud fans in their late 50's and 60's like the gimp, drunken Spaniard and Colin Lee who couldn't come to terms with the inevitable if they had a Tardis. 55+ years on we see the frustration and understand the pain but facts are facts and we cannot change that they have become the Rip Van Winkle of London football.

I know that this is probably going to sound a bit controversial, but I believe that you can only judge a club's standing by how it has performed in recent seasons.

Sure, history is important to see how big a club used to be, but the obvious fact is that, currently, Spurs is a much bigger club than either United or 'Pool, given that we have finished above them, season after season.

I'm glad we cleared that up.
