Hope it's a loan if he is going as I still think he has the makings of a centre forward, not a prolific one, but one that can work in a pair.

Loan or Sale would mean we need another striker (assuming we get Tammy)

Hopefully a loan move as the jury is still out for me where Mitro is concerned.
I just don't think he can be relied on for such an important season as the next one will be.
That said there is definitely something about him and a year in the Turkish league just might hone the skill that is there.

That's me off to support Beskitas now. It was great being a toon fan and that and at least I'm not changing team colours which is convenient. Can someone direct me to the besiktas board?

I'd like to have kept him but I have never thought he suited Rafa's style. We saw a glimpse on the last game of what can happen when he is afforded a partner. You couldn't really blame him or the club/Rafa. Sometimes players are in the right place at the wrong time (something you could also level at him on the pitch at times this season <laugh>).

Assume if Tammy comes it's because some assurances have been given that he will get a decent crack. As we also have Gayle who surely has to be given a decent crack at it too and Rafa plays only one striker it does beg the question as to who will be third choice. Not likely to be a major signing but have to trust in Rafa on that one.

Rafa clearly doesn't rate him, and we need to aim higher than him anyway - let him go.

    Fixed it.

The trouble with Gayle is that the decent crack we're likely to hear is his hamstring, unfortunately. If we're selling Mitro (I'd love him to come good, but IRWT) then we definitely need a solid option - not a marquee signing as you say but also not the Leon Best/Kuqi types we've had in the past.
