Hey, Chuckles! What do you reckon on the idea that, at the start of the season, Arsenal were credible CL winners? I know, I pissed my keks, too. At the start of tonight, Ladbrooks were giving odds of 10-2 on an Arsenal win! Who would have believed it? Not me.
I looked at it this way, Arsenal like you were going to get humiliated in Europe but I knew theirs would come at the hands of the best team and not at the hand of minnows. League wise I've never considered either of you as credible. Don't thank me.
Phew! Thank God you are safe, Pix! I know we have had our differences in the past, but I wouldn't want to see you self-harming, mate.
I'm fine mate thanks. It could have been worse, we could have been dumped out of the CL and then humiliated by a 2nd division Belgian side in the Europey pot.
I have long since admitted that none of the English teams (other than Leicester, so far) has covered itself in glory, this season, in Europe. That aside, it seems odd to me that you should be seeking to justify the 2-10 score-line against Arsenal by reference to Spurs exit from Europe.
Strange request as they were beaten by this years probable winners as opposed to being beaten by a second division Belgium side in the junior competition.
I'm not trying to justify anything, we were annihilated against Bayern You predicted that Leicester would suffer 'complete and utter humiliation' in the CL. That was saved for Spurs who didn't even make it out of the easiest group.
Not really. I'd rather exit in the dignified way that Spurs did, than suffer the arse-ripping dry humping Arsenal did, at the hands of the Germans. New HIAG is funny like that, Bluey.
... must have missed your ship called dignity going sailing by, Deacon Bloop ... in what way were you dignified? ... exiting the UCL group stage when there was still a game to go? .... or being put out of the Europey by a little known Belgian side and with one of your 'star' players having been sent off for an appalling act of petulant thuggery? Who were you playing in LaLa Land? ... coz you certainly seem to live there
There's losing, Fosse, and then there's being dry-humped to death, as Arsenal were, last night. We all know that you refuse to see it that way, but it's true, nonetheless.
... I'm not making any apologies for Arsenal's performance ... just wondered how you concluded that your exit from European competition this season was in any way, shape or form, 'dignified' ??
