anyone see his interview, one thing he said was how important it was to come back up at the first attempt. There was a few other things you Allam could take note of
I only caught a little bot of it, but he actually talked a lot of sense and did a good job of managing Newcastle fans expectations (he said far too many of them expected him to spend £150m and compete for top four and they simply weren't at that level).
I do agree with that sentiment, and prior to seeing that, assumed he was just a classless **** who was hugely successful in business by being a nasty twat. He talks a lot of sense though, and came over well and, weirdly, well meaning too. Worth a watch.
I seem to have entered a parallel universe where Mike Ashley comes across well and OLM and Happy 100% agree with each other! Weird I'll try and catch his interview just as soon as I've finished watching this clip of Trump playing golf with Kim Jong Un...
Me and Lambo agree on quite a few things, and share common interests/likes too! Obvz the things we don't agree on, he's wrong about!
Isn't that just common sense? Its obvious, the longer you spend in the Championship the more players you loose and the smaller your income, I'm not sure he even needed to point that it, everyone already knows it.
I think all this stuff that has come out from Ashley is basically an advertisement saying. Someone buy Newcastle.
I liked how he admitted and apologized for a lot of his mistakes over the last 10 years. Cant see Ehab doing the same thing somehow..
The point he was making his that because it is stated you are worth so much it doesn't mean that amount of ready cash is available as it is tied up in his companies and is the value of shares. So, though he is indeed extremely wealthy by normal standards he hasn't got the readies to compete with clubs which are being funded by countries or people like Abramovich.
Yes I think this is a decent post. Being worth a few hundred million you would think you could make a club successful. But trying to compete against clubs ( businesses Franchises whatever they are becoming now ) is a different ball game. You are basically trying to compete against massive companies, states, countries.
But he can't lay his hands on it, as he stated. Your net worth, value of your business, house etc is a different thing to what cash you could lay your hands on.
