Both teams will be hoping for a win on Sunday, Middlesbrough to give their season a kick start and Watford to consolidate their position in the EPL table.
Middlesbrough have not won a home game since last April when they completed a Championship win over Reading, but have found it difficult to garner points since their promotion.

Stewart Downing has been speaking on how he hopes things will go.
“I think we have (enough to stay up), if we play how I know we can play, especially during the opening games when we played very well. But we have to do that every week. It’s a hard league, you can’t take your foot off the gas.

“If we are in a healthy position I am sure we will strengthen again in January and it will get us over the line, I am confident. If we can get a win this weekend it puts us in an even better position.”

The Middlesbrough Press are worried about the attacking possibilities of their opponents, especially the new signing.
"Success wasn’t overnight for Isaac as he missed a chunk of pre-season and Watford’s summer trip to Austria after losing an important travel document, so he has been brought along gradually.

But he has found his feet and bearings at a rapid rate since with impressive cameos from the bench against West Ham, Manchester United and Burnley, capping them off with a headed goal and a near-miss for a second against Bournemouth.

Super sub Success has stayed in England for the international break to recover from a knock which he decided not to risk after receiving his first senior call-up for Nigeria for their World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

His frightening pace and unpredictability makes him so hard to play against because you just don’t know what he is going to do next."

Defender Craig Cathcart is likely to miss Watford's trip to Middlesbrough due to an injury he has been carrying since before the start of the season, Walter Mazzarri has revealed.

Miguel Britos and Valon Behrami, who have both been carrying knocks, are expected to be available to start, while the head coach said Isaac Success, who missed Nigeria duty with a dead leg, would be fit enough to play some part.

 

Usually go to this fixture but will have to give it a miss this time - My Boro mates think that they will nick it but I am not so sure. I think we will cause them problems so if we can keep it tight at the back we should get a point at least. If Janmaat was back I would be even more confident.

Afraid I will be missing this, but I will be sat next to my friend from Middlesbrough at dinner, so I might just get the mobile geared up so that we can keep in touch with the score.
